Have you step by step instructions for setting MN in a Raspberry Pi ??

If it's not in http://pivx.wiki or http://pivxmasternode.org or in our https://forum.pivx.org then I don't think we do.
I've never used a Rpi myself so can't help you there either sorry. Maybe someone else here, slack or forum can...

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

I want to share a bug (have replicated it many times).

OS: Windows
Trigger: If your computer losses power (i.e. Windows is not shutdown properly) and PIVX wallet is running, db gets corrupted.
Solution: When you open PIVX wallet next time, it will display a message that db is corrupt and will give an option of recovering it. However, this solution does not work (wallet gets stuck).
My solution: User will have to re-sync blockchain from scratch (or manually restore blockchain db).

Yes, a lot of cryptocurrencies have this bug.  I wonder if an in-code solution is out there.

Just purchased my 10k and want to setup MN, I have read last 10 pages but cant find the exact step by step instruction how to do it. Can someone provide a link? Also how much a 10k MN is earning a day currently?

You would have faired far better by looking at the OP of this thread. Grin
There are some guides in pivx.wiki & pivxmasternode.org.

Technically it is very similar if not identical to DASH but just different wallet name currently.

As for current profitability, please check this link:
http://178.254.23.111/~pub/DN/DN_masternode_payments_stats.html

we are so super close to dash (at % of the cost and no premine) disclaimer I sold dash before this big jump in last 2 days , it happens had 1/5 needed for one mn which is expensive I dont know how people do it... plus X11 algo and ASIC's.. use your own judgement) they do decent job on tech here is very elaborate PI write up on setting up a node... one word of caution make sure you have decent firewall or even multiple firewalls put in place!

https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/masternode-on-raspberry-pi-2-model-b.4083/

and yeh to repeat market place has validated idea of "master nodes" concept for sure.. no one pumps so much money in if not

Here's some interesting fact about our upcoming PoS Phase for those that may not have known.
We are currently in a declining PoS Phase since we switched from PoW to PoS back in Aug 2017.

1. Current daily inflation is 18 x 1440 = 25920 PIV. This is shared amonst masternode and stake node owners.
2. In approx 2 weeks time, this will drop by 25% to 13.5 x 1440 = 19440 PIV per day of inflation.
3. We will then drop another 33% in mid-April. So 9 x 1440 = 12960 PIV per day of inflation.
4. Lastly, we will drop a whopping 50% in mid-May to a daily inflation of 7200 PIV.

Note: Values in 1,2,3 have the 10% of the block excluded as budgeting system is currently disabled. Value in 4 is inclusive.

So by mid-May, we will have 4 times less daily inflation than now. That's quite a difference.
Meaning each new minted or MN payment PIVs are going to become 4x more rarer than now!

phenomenal this above (inflation control) thanks for the recall

fyik: you have a chance to own approx 20 master nodes now (at biitrex) ~ 8 BTC ? if my calc is correct  and it appears people in general are putting inflationary cash into crypto , and I dont blame em

happy Friday!

No. There are plenty. But we are the only one with seesaw algo and the only PoS fork attempting to implement zerocoin protocol.

Are you sure another instance isn't already running? Check your task manager if you're using windows.

Is port 51472 being used by any other service? Looks like pivx cant bind to that port.

Try restarting the computer. If that still fails, you can try editing the pivx.conf file to set a different port.

Try adding this line:

port=51480

Which part? Rebooting, or changing the port? I'm curious.

On a separate computer looks like I can't change the transaction fee without the wallet crashing, now downloading the blocks from scratch again, replacing the blocks folder with a close to up to date folder causes it to stay stuck at 10 hrs

the port

I had this happen. It seems that under certain corruption circumstances, the reserved ports for pivx are not freed and there is some type of ghost process still attached to it.

This did the trick for me
Code:
kill -9 $(lsof -t -i:51472)
