I am thinking to slowly buy a few of this as it has great potential for growth. About a masternode, do we need special equipment or servers to host one of those? I know it costs a lot to buy 10k so am no where near that lol but maybe if I teamed up with a few friends, am thinking of this for the future..  Smiley

hey

i suggest to rent a vps for the masternode, very cheap.

if you have some linux skills try vultr:

20 GB SSD $2.50/mo $0.004/h 1 CPU 512MB Memory 500GB Bandwidth / 1 Node/instance
25 GB SSD $5/mo $0.007/h 1 CPU 1024MB Memory 1000GB Bandwidth  / 5 Nodes/instances

if you want a no brainer and don't want to fight with linux stuff & scripts you can go for:
http://my.mp-hosting.co.uk/index.php i guess about 1.8$/month

if you have a vm hypervisor and/or want to host by yourself on your own hardware you can use the specs from vultr for example.
i guess for one Node 256MB Ram, 1 single core cpu, ~25GB hd should work, so you can maybe even use your toaster these days Grin

Cheers

The richlist is cool, I think. Let's say a person has exactly 3 masternodes. Will that person show up with one address holding 30,000 PIVX, or will they show up with three different addresses each holding 10,000 PIVX?

Three different addresses, each holding 10K (plus the rewards for that MN, at least until you transfer them).

That being the case, to be truly transparent the richlist would aggregate the total balance across multiple addresses (where applicable) in the same way the controller wallet does.

With Monday and hypothetical Polo addition and Chinese market PR campaign start?? Not very sure about that, most probable scenario plain day in my opinion.

Salute

polo addition unlikely due to wallets built in bittrex trading api ,,,, chinese markets started the downward trend. in my opinion price will take a hard fall today on the apparent 2nd failure of breaching the 1 dollar mark

Hey everyone, hope you're all having a great weekend.

I see we've got even more Dash trolls working over time trying to console themselves after losing $250m on their scam coin  Cheesy

PIVX is a community driven phenomenon and it's success is the reason these lowlifes with nothing better to do are in here... They're certainly not looking out for your best interest... They're trying to fight off a threat to their scam coin.

Happy staking and noding, fellas

Why are ya'll so focussed on the 1 dollar mark?

There is hardly any difference between 99 cents and 101 cents.
It's just a number, and it swings depending on what bitcoin does.

That 1 dollar mark is just psychological, the bots and most traders don't care about that.

The %-gains, long term growth is what counts.

only the trolls are focussed @ the 1 dollar mark  Wink.

me and i guess most other pivx supporters don't really care about the short term price and/or special marks and are in it for long term

cheers & have fun all

you wish there were real sale walls...  no one (that is sane of course) will sell right now

above actually applies to top 10 placements... it is getting harder to move assets around and optimizing (all is quite valuable now and long term) ... nothing that can be done.. markets are maturing

mn rewards/POS in this coin are and will be highly valued by investors (no mining no huge expenditures in hardware, little to none babysitting) many knows this not all are in slack or in here...  and many already activated master nodes with 0 intention of selling
