probaly not. only the mods can ban accounts & they would only open new account's in a few. there is a good chance that there is only 1-2 dudes behind all this noob/spamming accounts.
StakeUnited stinks like fish to me. Even the Domain owner is hidden. I bet this is Scam!

Tried all the guides but still the process is painfully slow.

For example, after waiting 12 hours and using Bootstrap.dat method, I am only at around 10% of syncing. Is that normal? I even tried with and without internet, still, the speed is VERY slow.

Can you advise what I can do to speed up the sync process? Thanks!

I'm staking with the Stake United pool now for several weeks. I almost doubled the stake within one month. I tried to stake alone with the wallet only, but I made much more profit with the  Stake United pool.

In my opinion, hiding a referral link is scammy also. Not that I opened an account in this case, I tend to agree with LemonAndFriesOne in questioning the validity. But I would never use someone's referral link that was not disclosed as being a referral link. I am more inclined to open an account when use of a referral link is upfront because I respect the honesty.
