In the wallet v3 there has been an "enable zPIV Automint" checkbox, along with  a percentage of autominted zPIV. I do not find them in v4. Are they no longer needed?

I really miss the old Transaction tab, it was much better to navigate. The new Transactions section is scrollable, but there's no scroll bar, there's no option to filter results based on time (today, this week, etc.). I know the new graph is there to replace that, and it's real nice, but it's not ideal. And the UI is clunky/glitchy in some places (especially dropdown menus) but that's no biggie and overall the wallet is great.  So far staking also seem to be improved (little to no orphans).

Devs hinted of a possibly full fledged separate transaction window or tab for the near-future release.
P.S. We expect a minor release 4.0.1 to be released soon with some minor bug fixes & trivial changes.

zPIV minting has been disabled from earlier this year due to a vulnerability risk.
However, any existing zPIV can be spent publicly back to PIV with just released 4.0.
We expect a new privacy protocol to appear in the 5.0 release sometime in 2020.

PIVX is just a testing grounds now. VEIL is their real project.

They are not competing projects, one of them focused in privacy at all cost and the other focused in usability, having privacy as an additional characteristic. You are saying something like, oh, cybertruck is the project tesla engineers started, tesla model 3 is just testing grounds now, cybertruck is their real project.

We would like to share the new technology implemented by DASH  "Chainlocks" in our understanding we don't need to give to miners almost half of the block reward (45%) to secure the network. It enables us to incentivize other parties of the network.

We are testing new technology "CHAINLOCKS"  in order to try a different distribution of the block reward. which consists in:

10% MINERS
60% MASTERNODES
20% SYSTEM PROPOSALS
10% CHARITY PROPOSALS

We really appreciate the hard work of Dash Core-Team same as the PIVX community and we will let you know. How "chainlocks" works in practice within a small project..

IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT THE 4.0 UPGRADE

- At GMT Sunday, 5 January 2020 00:00 (epoch  1578182400) SPORK_15 (ACTIVE PROTOCOL) has been enabled. This means that updated clients will reject connections with nodes running the old active protocol (70917).

- At block B=2153200 (roughly in 24 hrs) the new consensus rules (time protocol, masternode signatures, blocks version 7) will be enforced. Clients not following the new rules will fork.

- 180 blocks before B (thus at block 2153020) SPORK_8 (MATERNODE_ENFORCEMENT) will be temporarily disabled. Blocks without masternode payout will be considered valid by the network.

- 101 blocks after B (thus at block 2153301) SPORK_8 (MATERNODE_ENFORCEMENT) will be re-enabled.

- 201 blocks after B (thus at block 2153401) SPORK_17 (COLD_STAKING) and SPORK_18 (V4 SPENDS) will be enabled for the first time. From that block onwards it will be possible to create coldstaking delegations and spend v1 zerocoins.

:warning: Difficulty:
After block B there will be a massive drop in the reported difficulty on the network (likely by a factor 15-20x). This is normal and does not imply an equal drop in the total number of staked coins but rather a different representation of the stake weight. It is due to the restrictions set by the new time protocol over the proof of stake algorithm

zPIV minting has been disabled from earlier this year due to a vulnerability risk.
However, any existing zPIV can be spent publicly back to PIV with just released 4.0.
