The forum offers a notification when there is replies to posts, newly posted topics,
or forum announcements, we'll also receive a notification email when someone send a personal message to us.

So, I'm wondering if we could receive a notification email when someone get online, post a new topic or reply too? I mean follow or watch someone? Is the forum offering this function or how to make it happen?

Regards.

No, this forum do not have or provide the function that you described in OP.
I'm pretty sure you can make a proposal for this function to be implemented in the new forum software which will be released soon (or never). Make a topic for your proposal here.

Life sucks.

#Stalking

Bitcointalk does not offer this kind of service. Why would you want this, anyway? I, personally wouldn't rant my inbox piling up with endless notifications that lets say, Shorena is online...

Don't worried, I'm not using this for evils.

Not sure if it works but you try google alerts, by setting it up and put the right key words and youll receive an email once the username you are trying to follow posts or mentioned in this forum

I would not be in favor of this kind of feature. There are already enough people watching/stalking people that they have issues with, trying to find dirt on them, and harassing them in the process. I don't think the forum should make it easier on these people's lives.

Plus you will have the people who will use this kind of feature to monitor people like BPB's posts and will end up claiming his giveaways from multiple accounts. Claiming via multiple accounts is unethical enough as it is, however using a special feature to get notifications when he is hosting his giveaways is a step to far IMO.

every new features will have its own positive and negative  side, it is upto what we take the feature . some can get benefited with this feature and some can misuse it like what you said. but for that we cannot ignore the new features for the development of this forum.
