I hope not, I liked the idea. It is the holidays, maybe that explains the few days with no word.

c0ffer, is there any (and I mean ANY) connection between this coin and BitStone?

Also your choice of ticker symbol is needlessly confusing. "Zero" and "oh" should never be mixed.

Excellent cross-post link Smiley

The short answer is PoS at 10%. The lengthier description with discussion is in the thread linked above.

I will be posting an update about exchange listing soon.

The significance of this coin will start to become more apparent as we move forward.

Rest-assured the objective of this coin is well thought through.

...
I am aware of the BitStone project (since I read the threads here) but there is absolutely no connection with c0fferC0in to any other coin.

I have been involved with cryptocurrency for years and am a well established member of this community and others. This coin is not like the countless other coins that have been previously released and as I mentioned:

The ticker symbol is one of the less important aspects of the coin but it is interesting to see the dialogues that have stemmed from it Wink
Some day I'll make a blog post describing the origin of the c0ffer name.

Thank you everyone so far for your interest and feedback.

wallet doesn't synch...
The wallet should sync without issues.

The daemon has been tested thoroughly on Ubuntu and OSX.

I just tried a fresh download on a clean computer for the Windows-QT wallet and it started syncing immediately.

...when is this going to be minable?
This coin is PoS only. There is a separate discussion about the nature of the distribution of this coin in another thread.

Yeah. Seems a bit coincidental though. No one here associates gems/metals to bitcoin except Kieth so far, so let's see what happens. Tongue

Please feel free to take a look back at the oldest page of the Auctions thread in the Marketplace section to get an idea of for how long I have associated Bitcoins and gemstones.  Wink

Updates about exchange listings:

The verification process for Bittrex has been completed so I am anticipating listing very soon but do not yet have an exact date.

I have contacted Cryptsy and they are reviewing the coin. I would guess they are more involved with resolving their withdrawal issues right now so I'll revisit them after that has cleared up.

I will be reaching out to Poloniex and C-CEX and perhaps some others depending on how things develop.

If anyone wants to contact their preferred exchange to request listing feel free to help.

Also, January's birthstone is garnet. The shop will be opening with a nice selection to mark this occasion in addition to several other types of stones. I may post a teaser/spoiler list prior to launch.

Thank you again to everyone for their feedback.

While some additional details are being figured out and the store is being finalized, here is a partial list of inventory to be expected when the store opens:

0.760 ctw. Light Blue Topaz Marquis (qty. 30) @ $5.89 ea. or 2945 c0c0
2.400 ctw. Rose Quartz (qty. 16) @ $13.92 ea. or 6960 c0c0
2.800 ctw. Medium Dark Garnet (qty. 20) @ $127.68 ea. or 63840 c0c0
9.600 ctw. Blue Topaz Cushion (qty. 2) @ $74.40 ea. or 37200 c0c0
3.500 ctw. Lemon Quartz (qty. 20) @ $21.00 ea. or 10500 c0c0
0.190 ctw. Light Violetish Blue Iolite (qty. 10) @ $11.21 ea. or 5605 c0c0
0.342 ctw. Yellowish Green Sapphire (qty. 10) @ $17.10 ea. or 8550 c0c0
0.140 ctw. Orange Citrine (qty. 12) @ $4.48 ea. or 2240 c0c0

The above list has examples of stones that are available in quantities.

The store will list the prices in USD (no payment in USD accepted), Bitcoin (market converted) and c0fferCoin (fixed).

There are more stones available but this should help with evaluating the value of c0fferCoins.

Thank you for the support and info.

I am in discussion with Bittrex about being listed. I have also contacted several other exchanges (including YoBit) and am waiting for responses.

If c0fferC0in is being compared to Bitstone then that is an unfortunate obstacle, but it is one that will be overcome with the distinct differences being realized. It will become apparent that c0fferC0in is very different and will make a significant mark in the cryptocurrency space.

c0fferCoin store update:

The store is now publicly visible. Although I am still working on better images (this is a systemization issue) there is an initial inventory, quantities and pricing now available. The selection is fairly diverse and will improve steadily in the weeks ahead. All inventory is on-hand and is being catalogued and added to the store with images. I will add information to the top of this thread as well and as the site says, please be patient since it is still being tested.

Things are going to start getting increasingly interesting from here.
