Hello,

    I have reviewed the Terms and Conditions posted at Unique BTC's website and am sharing them here for diffusion throughout the BCT forum as they are written today.

   

• You understand that there is specific guidelines and policies in place.
• You also understand that you have to avail yourself of how Unique BTC works before you join Unique BTC, failing to Step-up (Upgrade, make a 0.04BTC donation to the person that invited you) will cause the system to delete your account, you are welcome to join again and get a second 24-hour period to decide to participate, failing to participate will get you banned from joining the Unique BTC community again.
• You have read and understood that "Spamming" and or cross recruiting meaning contacting other participants in an attempt to promote ANY other opportunity to ANY fellow Unique BTC participant is grounds for "Immediate" account suspension which disqualifies you from receiving spill over, new sign-ups as well as donations.
• Under no circumstances, including negligence, shall anyone involved in creating, producing or distributing this service, be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages that result from the use of, or inability to use this service, and all the files and software contained within it, including, but not limited to, reliance on any information obtained through this service; or that result from mistakes, omissions, interruptions, deletion of files or e-mail, errors, defects, viruses, delays in operation, or transmission, or any failure of performance, whether or not limited to acts beyond our control, communications failure, theft, destruction or unauthorized access to our records, programs or services.
• We reserve the right to add or remove features and modify any functionality, make changes on how the platform works, manage memberships, within Unique BTC, and otherwise make changes to the service and this agreement without notice.
• We may terminate without notice, at our sole discretion, any membership deemed to be in breach of this agreement or otherwise found to be abusing or misusing the service, or harassing the other members or administrator in any way.
• In the unlikely event that this program should ever terminate its operations, it's creator, operators, employees, assigns and successors shall not be held liable for any loss whatsoever to our members.
• Sites and individuals involved with the following activities are NOT ELIGIBLE: selling, providing or linking to unlicensed content, pornography, warez, pirated software, hacking or spamming software, email address lists or harvesting software, or any materials endorsing violence, hatred, revenge, racism, victimization, or criminal activity.
• We make no claims on how much money you can make with our program. Your ability to earn depends on a number of factors, including where and how (and how often) you advertise the program, and the motivation and ability of those in your up lines, to make referrals. Individual results will vary.
• Members caught spamming or otherwise causing harm to our program will have their accounts terminated, and maybe prosecuted for their actions. We will investigate all allegations before taking action.
• All donations you willingly and directly send to a fellow participant are final. No refunds.
• You understand that all donations will be made directly by donators to you to your payment processor, and that any problems you have concerning such matters should be taken up with your respective merchant account provider.
• You agree to accept email updates regarding Unique BTC. We will never inundate you with emails or spam. Report spam and other abuse via the contact form.
• Please include the entire spam email with headers.
• If any member is caught stacking, Unique BTC reserves the right to move the stacked accounts further down the matrix and/or block the stacked accounts.

• Failing to upgrade will cause your account to be automatically deleted.
• Obligations to make donations to the person who invited you are mandatory even if there are dramatic unanticipated changes in the way the platform works, the service or the agreement; otherwise your account will be automatically deleted.
• Managing memberships as mentioned in the TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE generally means redistributing downlines at the whim of the Administrator.
• Complaining may be deemed harassment and your membership may be terminated without notice by the Administrator under the TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE.

    I challenge Unique BTC to offer a solution using multisig transactions which removes risk from both the upline and downline and places the risk squarely upon Unique BTC's good faith and continued operations.

After reading the T&C's, this looks very similar to a ponzi scheme to me, generally only people at the top tier win on these. I'm definitely not going to join. I'd rather risk my coin using my own trading strategies than trust my heard earned funds with an anonymous group where it's creator, operators, employees, assigns and successors shall not be held liable for any loss whatsoever to (their) members., to join, you have to pay to the person who refers you.

Interestingly enough, the site is talking solely about BTC investing - nothing to do with EGC - they are asking for each member to donate 0.04BTC per month to the scheme, and recruit another 3 members to also pay 0.04BTC per month to receive 0.08 to 0.12 per month.

Then somehow there is a 'Phase 2' which i'm not sure when it starts - were people must pay 0.5BTC per month, coupled with T&C's where a user must adhere to these rules (or any new ones) or be kicked off the site.

Sounds like extortion to me.

There is no information about converting this BTC to EGC or even depositing in EGC - as far as I can see - this will have no impact on the EGC market cap whatsoever, and just make the people running the scheme richer. Even if it was to do with EGC the scheme would give the coin a very bad reputation when the bottom falls out - which in my opinion will be fairly quickly as its a small community.

This year I am especially thankful for EverGreenCoin's like-minded community members that have helped to make this project a success. I am grateful that through leveraging cryptocurrency we have found a way to promote and support environmental awareness. As this project nears a year since launch, it is awesome to see the roots taking hold and imagining the great impacts it will have as it grows. I am thankful for ever step and even the stumbles of that journey and those that have walked it with me and helped it get to its feet again when needed. I am also very thankful those people have had opportunities to realize profits in return for supporting an honest and good intentioned project. I am thankful that even in this industry, good can succeed if it never quits.

If you followed this forum you would be aware that gizfreak is one of the few people heavily involved in the community working to drive egc forward. I'm pretty sure gizfreak is not one of those people dumping coins.

Whilst I've not called uniquebtc a ponzi scheme it looks very much like a pyramid scheme which is very similar. From what I can see from the site I join the investment by paying 0.06btc each month. Of that 0.04 btc goes to the person above me in the scheme. My return is 0.12btc each month that comes from three people below me in the scheme and 0.02btc worth of EGC.

If I've misunderstood this then you (or whoever is responsible for uniquebtc) needs to better explain how the scheme works.

    If the program administrators wanted to keep the EGC market healthy, they would ensure people were buying EGC regularly - and do so through Phase 1 and Phase 2.
    The program instead requires members to transact in BTC.  What's really happening here is a slow drain of a program administrator's EGC wallet as they're redistributed to investors.
    Presumably, no new EGC will be bought to fulfill donations to downlines in EGC.

    The EGC part on the back page of Unique BTC's website is not much more than a Greenpeace bumper sticker.

I think you'll find a fairly hard time getting a substantial number of people to buy into the scheme you are promoting here.

Sounds like it is in your interests to increase the value of the coin. Maybe there is a better way to go about it by engaging with the community and promoting the coin in a different way.

You'll also find that people posting on the forum were not involved in the initial pump of the coin - this probably came from some people on yobit and jump from coin to coin. A lot of people sold since the value of the coin rocketed from 300sat to 90000sat, in a short space of time which is totally unsustainable market dynamics, I'm sure you would have done the same in that situation - the big winners were likely the people who organised the pump and dump, who will be doing it with different coins every day.

Personally, I only got involved in the coin during the pump, and bought a number at 9k and downwards.
