I like the idea of the foundation receiving a % of the blockreward instead of deciding to go the "premine" route. Will keep an eye on this.
I felt the foundation idea would give people confidence in the future of EverGreenCoin. While growing and supporting the network in all ways, the EverGreenCoin Foundation secures it's asset over the long term. With a premine, instamine, or ICO, a shadow of doubt might be cast with the developer(s) and / or founder(s) pockets already filled with a potential payout before anyone has time to guess if they will hold true to promises.
Rest-assured, the EverGreenCoin Foundation's 2% of PoW mining will be used to propel the EverGreenCoin ecosystem while taking care of our most precious ecosystem, our planet earth. Before PoW is over you will see real world proof of the commitment to Environmental Green Causes. Some of which will someday make it cheaper for miners to fuel our changing world of financial trade.
