I've Finally had a day where it's been reasonably sunny so I've been out and done some experimenting with good results.

Using a 10W solar panel:

For comparison the panel is very similar in size to an A4 sheet of paper

This was then feeding power into the CHIP via a small regulator. The solar panel comes in via the red+black wires on the left. The three grey wires are providing a serial console so I could check the CHIP was running and connected to the network.

From my data collection you can see the solar power being fed into the CHIP

Initially when I turned it on I was only running off the attached Lipo (the red line shows the discharge current). When I connected the solar cells it then started charging the battery (the green line shows the battery being charged)

And to give an idea of conditions

Hey, just wondering - is there a way to view the number of coins minted per day? Just wanted to do some calculations - if I'm working things out correctly ,the maximum of new coins per day should be around 2500 if every wallet is being staked, would be interesting to see the actual number.

One would have to monitor coin supply for that. The explorer shows that info, as does the statistics tab ('Total EGC Volume') in the wallet or the getinfo RPC command ('moneysupply').

In my observations of the past, it was below 1000 per day.

I can't find the Stats tab on the explorer that I'm looking at, maybe I'm on an old site. Is http://158.69.205.238:3001/ still the correct link? I can't find an alternative on the OP or the website.

That looks awesome drofxafm - are you using Zabbix to monitor your solar charge?
Thanks for sharing your results =)

Wow, nice little project. Was fun for sure to successfully run on green power. EGC seems to be the perfect community to tinker with alternative energie sources. Just love to projects like yours.

Well spotted, yes that's being collected with zabbix, querying the onboard power management chip (AXP209) on the C.H.I.P. I'm also collecting stats from the evergreencoin daemon on my various wallet hosts.

Sorry, 'Statistics' tab within the wallet shows 'Total EGC Volume' (4th from the bottom) and the explorer shows it in a box towards the right side labeled 'Coin Supply (EGC)'. You do have the correct explorer, the official EverGreenCoin explorer.

Of course, you are very welcome! =)

Is it possible to add a link to the explorer to the OP and the website? (if is isn't there already and I missed it)

Certainly, I will do so today.

When we redesigned the OP a few months ago, there was some debate about listing that and other information. The argument was presented to me that information like that should be on the website and people should go there to find it. I did disagree then but did not want to lose the help I had, so I compromised.

The community asking for the information to be more readily available is all the reasoning I need to do so. The objecting help has left already anyway. It will be done today. =)

EDIT: Done.

This could be the case,

Or.... maybe because I will 3d print the names of my supporters and ship it straight into their mailbox, even if they are in USA:

Or maybe..... because I will send a videoclip in stratosphere,

Or maybe because the name of EverGreenCoin will fly next to a real space company

Or maybe they have finally realized the real value of EGC:)

So that name James Parker is my Roommate. He was wondering when he will receive his EGC and his plaque ?

Awesome - you'll find block explorer etc on most good OP's. The OP is where most investors go to to start their initial fundamental analysis - IMO a block explorer is very important when deciding which coin to invest in, you can see how many coins are added per day (too many and the coin risks devaluing), and wallet distribution. Looking at the current downward price trend and PoS somebody could think that the price is dropping because too many coins are being minted, when actually the price point is very good.

I have wondered the same... It seems Gabi Dumitriu has no issue with not keeping his word. All in the name of Pokémon.

While I can not help your roommate out with the plaque, I can help with the EverGreenCoin lost. I will follow-up with you privately via PM.

If anyone in the community finds themselves in a similar situation, please contact me privately via PM. Of course, I will do everything in my ability to make things correct.

EDIT: I have sent Gabi yet another message, urging him to do anything near the right thing. I suspect it will go unanswered, as have my countless other attempts on numerous mediums.

Thank you for the quick reply. I didn't know that it had been cancelled. Was trying to find information on it and forgot the webpage address of where we donated.
I replied back to PM. I hope that Gabi comes through on this.. Was a cool idea. Thanks for the PM.

We do have a delisting warning at C-Cex. If anyone can bring some volume to C-Cex to hep prevent that, it would be greatly appreciated. If you are in a position to do so and will, thank you in advance.

I dont have a C-cex account yet. What kind of volume do we need, and how much are we pulling now? Did they give us a time limit?

According to their website, 30 days from yesterday the 18th is the time limit. .2 BTC average daily is the requirement. Yesterday we had over .75 BTC last I had checked.

Unfortunately I don't hold out much hope for Gabi doing much more on the Balloon Flight. He made one attempt that looks to have failed quite quickly, I have my suspicions of why but he didn't want to share much in the way of details or take advice from the High Altitude Ballooning community.

I have some ideas of how it might be possible to actually have an operational node on a balloon (What I think Gabi was trying wouldn't have worked) but I've yet to test anything out (It might require a specialised wallet to do this).

I tried to make a withdrawal from Trex into my wallet yesterday and it still says 'pending', I cancelled tired again this morning and I still have the same issue, do you know if there are any problems with Bittrex or the network? EGC transactions are usually very fast in my experience.

why not add an android wallet?

There is an android wallet in the works (I think there were some recent screen shots of it on twitter).

Unfortunately I think there were some early issues trying to find an android dev who would follow through on their promises to create something that works. Now we seem to have found one.

2017 is the year things should look good for EGC
