Hello Smiley

I have been a long time off any mining activity (last time I was actively mining the LTC was 40$ a piece). Are there any coins left that can be mined via GPU usages and still result in profit? I do not have free power, so that could very well be what tips the scale against such a case. Still, even the slightest profit would be enough to make me try.

try a few cheap 750ti's ,

get the ones with 6-pin extra power plug required, i have seen many reports of that helping with overclocking, while staying stable

but the key is .... if you can have fun then maybe you might even make a few $'s Smiley

If your electricity is more than $0.1 per kWh, then there is no coin to mine for profit. Home mining is only for hobby now.

Scrypt has been dead on GPU for years now, however take a look at nicehash/westhash and see if your card manages any profit on the other algorithms.

I use them as space-heaters in the winter.
There are 3 folding coins to mine with gpus, so that at least you mine for a good cause. One is Gridcoin which is rallying and I'm currently mining. Unfortunately the mining setup is a PITA on linux, so I can mine just with my mule.

Curecoin I'm familier with, and might actually start mining eventually "just because".

 What's the 3'd such coin?

X11 coins can be mined for a profit if you have fairly low electric cost and an efficient setup. Haven't paid attention to anything else for a long time, as way too many of the "other than Scrypt/SHA256/X11" coins are fairly hard to find reliable exchanges for.

I'm no longer legendary just in my own mind!

You can mine Ethereum. It is very hot coin at present. But there is no guarrantee how long you can mine it profitably.
