It would effectively cease to function. Of course there could be ways around that but it would be such a hassle to use compared to regular fiat currency no one would want to use it

Make no mistake.  Without the internet bitcoin as a currency and as a protocol cease to function in their entirety.  There's no PoW, there are no newly minted blocks, there is effectively paper with a bunch of now worthless private keys.

Bitcoins can always be backed up offline so there is a chance to survive. I believe there won't be a point though as the value would be dropped drastically.
