How many people all over the world can have 10 BTC in 2030. How many BTC will there exist in 2030? Is that about 12 million or so or am i wrong?

there are currently over 15M or around that amount of coins, the final step is 21M or so, but the real available coins are probably below 20M-18M

in 2030 if bitcoin is still alive will be unbelievable hard to acquire one bitcoin, i'm assuming already a 10k in price, as a stable value, otherwise we might have still problems about adoption...

Indeed, if there are only about 21 million btc all over the world. Most of the people can't have very much BTC.
If you know there are a few miljard people now. We will maybe be rich with a few sat. BTC.

if with just 10BTC can make you become a millionaire , what about people who own 1000BTC? i think they'll be a quillionaire  Grin

those people will dump long before, because their target is lower than those that have only 10 btc

so those "1k people" will be the "10 btc people" in the future, with the same opportunity for the former

Yes I agree! The distribution of wealth will be happening just as it's happening all this time so far. Yes, there are still people with 10,000+ bitcoins but there are not as many out there as they were in the beginning and not all of them who had 10,000 bitcoins at the certain moment are currently millionaires. People have been making all kinds of mistakes!

As for the OP's question, I don't know will you be a millionare with 10 BTCs but you will gain a considerable wealth from this in the future. Of that I am sure!

no you will still only have 10 btc.  it may be worth 1 million mexican pesos or maybe even a few billion zimbabwe dollars.  but no, btc wont be worth 100k usd each by 2030.  we can hope for $10k in 15 years but that probably is also a stretch, unless the dollar is crazy devalued which doesn't look likely.

14 years is quite a long time. Bitcoin has made 10000x value increase in the past 6 years, so it is not completely unrealistic.

Besides, 10 btc at 1 million is not a 10,000x increase, but 'only' 2,500x at current price.

Yes, they will
But like any other tech... The people who were first to realise the potential are going to gain the most.... But btc is still relatively cheap and undervalued at this time

The only comparison I can make is the people who invested in apple  /Microsoft etc  or similar before it took off

There is still a huge advantage at this price but the price is being watched by the big dogs, rest assured, the price will  still rise exponentially

If you don't use or hold any btc, you will miss out but I don't need to say this to the people who already know, just the people who say they  "missed the train " etc

Imo the train is still here and anyone who doesn't acquire a %  if their classic asset will lose big.... The only difference is in 2013 max.... Was unexpected

The next rise will still make millionaires, they're is more important things at play now

Don't believe then don't buy..... Up2u

But plz don't cry of this is the last time we see $400§ for a full btc and you didn't buy any....

A millionaire with only 10 btc by 2030? It doesn't seem likely right now, but one never knows with bitcoin. I would say maybe more likely somewhere on the other side of 2040 with just 10 btc with mass adoption and if Bitcoin becomes bigger than what the internet became in that time.

With Bitcoin everything is possible and nothing is impossible. I only think you'll need to have much more coins to be a millionaire. I don't even think 50 Bitcoins will make you a millionaire.

LOL always amusing how the mood of posts is dictated by the most recent market movements. Lots of sideways, people will be super conservative. Just had a rally? oh well then it'll be 50k by 2016...

BTC>$100k by 2030 is certainly not the most outlandish prediction ever made on this board. In fact it's a conservative success scenario and a long time scale compared to many. There's this weird contradiction where people secretly hope to get rich overnight/fear missing out on giant bull runs, yet when it comes down to considering the implications over a long time scale they don't have the balls to follow through.

From surveys it would seem the number of people who own even that number of coins is actually quite small so I wouldn't say 'too many rich people' is such a killer argument, especially as 15 years allows plenty of time for many current holders to sell on their coins to new users.

IMO I really doubt you will be a millionaire, however I do think that if you manage to HODL all your coins until 2030 you will have a great ROI

There are many factors that need to be taken into consideration with the desire of being a millionaire...
If you have the will and courage to just move ahead and grow your coins more, you can become a millionaire as many had been, by trading their coins and growing them, but it involves a risk, a risk of either gaining or losing even what you have...

So, for you to become a millionaire, we will need BTC to reach $100,000, which doesn't seem possible ATM, seeing the current developments being undergoing...

As far as adoption is concerned, we first need to see the security it provides, we have witnessed many scams and hacks these days, so we need something to be completely "SECURED" for our coins to be stored at...

i must have missed the 10000x value increase in the past 6 years of bitcoin, because i don't remember any, if we consider the beginning until the 1200 ath, that's only 1200x increase

It's not like Bitcoin started out at $1 the very first day people started mining it. It used to be worth fractions of dollar.

Under construction.

At the beginning the price wasn't $1 - price didn't reach $1 until early 2011.

At that point I had 0.5 BTC I'd got from Gavin's faucet, and another 50 BTC I'd mined (with my CPU!). I'd almost forgotten about Bitcoin ("BitCoin"!) until I read the Slashdot article, because a few months earlier I'd looked into how much money I could sell my BTC for, and I gave up when I discovered I'd only make a few dollars, and then I'd still have to convert that into GBP.

And think back to the famous pizza purchase - 1 BTC was priced at much less than  1 USD then.

That might me, 50 bitcoins I think is enough to be a millionair.
Only we don't know what the price well be in 2030 we will see if people well become millionair.

I doubt that will happend you need to have atleast 100BTC or more to be a millionair. I know that the price well be increasing but not that high for now maybe in 30 years.

Just 10 Bitcoins will be worth a decent amount for sure in the comming 10-20 years, but not even close to $1 million. My guess is, if you want to come close to being a millionaire at some point in the future, then you will need to have at least 150 Bitcoins.

BTW 1BTC = $100k means that Bitcoin marketcap would be around $1.9-2 trillion. US GDP is $17 trillion and World GDP is $75 trillion, so it's not a crazy estimate.

Under construction.
