Pretty busy, but I must have missed that particular request. A public link is:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/iz0z2bpzpcetpil/knc-lightfoot%204gb%20version.7z?dl=0

But those tend to blow up and not work, so pm me your email address and I'll send you a private link to download.

As for controllers, I'll check.

I downloaded the above, for when/if I ever get around to testing one. So the link worked fine for me, WITHOUT having to sign up to use the site.

I ASSUME that a 4gb Image as the above link, will work fine on an 8gb SD card?

(no damn time, I suppose a controller blows, then I'll find the time)

thanks

brad

Yeah, in fact it doesn't quite fit on a 4gb SD card, you need an 8gb or bigger.

Controller board. The board was designed for a bbb, the Pi had to have a bridgeboard to translate.

The instructions are in this thread somewhere along with the part #. Give it a go, key is to use top quality flux, preheat, and a part picker to pull the old component without smearing the solder. Or you could pay me to do it, because why not :-)

It's quiet. Been very busy myself as well, and I really don't want to fix Bitmain's junk so things have quieted down at LF Labs. If a miner comes along that has potential to hold value like the Titan did I can always help out.

Well i finally was able to format a damn micro sd. It did the whole light show and i can log into it via firefox. I plug a asic into it and it sees it but wont hash.... could be because these are Jupiter boards or the asics are toast. Not worth my time really, need to find a ok working Neptune with at least one working die to see if these controllers are good.

I need to try this as well, if I remember right there was an order you had to do this....if you did not do it in the correct order..you had to format the SD and

start over. If I remember right I had to format the SD then do the image stuff directly on the SD..just making an image and copying it did not work

all I got..been a couple years since I had to do the SD stuff... I keep planning to do such..but each time I have a spare cube per titan...a cube dies an then

i just plug the other cube into the open slot...thus no reason to it un one alone yet...

anyway, all I have off the top of my head

lightfoot will know more ALL HIS STUFF runs on his neptune hack I think

as to the jupiter vs neppie board..it should make no difference...or at least none when using a titan bridge on any jupiter or neppie board in my past

I assume you're powering it down before plugging in a cube, right? Is it displaying stuff on the display, and is the green light on the side?

Well, here it is June 2018, and I'm still getting the occasional Titan in for repair. These things don't quit.

They do age though. Three cubes, very nice condition, but I can see that the boards are slightly hogged (bent in the front) and putting the pad under the front of the board will really help the heat sink reconnect. Two of them have burned plugs, and the third has the short on pin 3 (not 4 or 6) which should be fixable by swapping the drivers.

Gives me something to do in between other projects. So yes, I'm still in business...

Start at the beginning: If you power down and unplug everything from the controller, then power up the controller does the white light flash and the display show things? Does the light on the side of the unit go green?

the light is green. i have put only one cube.
after restart on display show only KnCMiner  spimux.

whith no cube , the controler have the light green , an the display show DISCONECTED. some time whith cube is the same.
maybe rasbery pi is damege?
another time whiht cube , the controler is ok whiht ip , i make changes on web but no hashing. 0Mhs, temp on cube is showng 30C, and 7W power consumed.

Ok, hm. Try this:

Connect one cube

Power up

Go to 50mhz on each die, -.0366 volts

See if it hashes at all.

This will tell you if the heat sink is loose; the cubes can run at 50 for a bit without much of a sink. If so you need to repaste the dies and ensure the sink is on snug enough that it can't be wiggled around on the chip.

Let me know. If that doesn't work you can try to reflash the controller or send the controller and one cube in and I'll take a look.

hy, i can not try because the controler display only the titan 2.0 spimux.

I change the raspery pi , i use the same flash card 8GB Class 10 , and now it is ok. only one cube 300Mhz , hash 80-83Mhs.
How to test the 3cube left?
whare is the pin 1 to measuring from pin 9 ?
pls a picture.
whiht regards, florin c.
