If You Won A Million Dollars.. How Much Bitcoin Would You Buy?

Will that money maybe I will buy some bitcoins, but with that I just can work more and earn more money is a good money to save in the future if I win that big. So that I can buy houses and rent it for the future. Oh well I never will win that kind of money.

I will buy bitcoins for all the money of million dollars. This way I will multiply my one million into 10 fold or even 100 fold in few years. This way I will help be happy on contributing to bitcoin community by investing such a big amount. I guess bitcoin price will raise some 5% or 10% also.

The difference between dollar and euro is some 12% to 15%. So, I will accept even it's in dollars. 
But, I will invest all the money into bitcoin and may start a bitcoin mining farm. Surely I will set up a full node to contribute to our bitcoin society.

I would say that I would split it about 50/50. Worth the risk but I wouldn't like to set my self straight such as finishing paying off the house and student loans, ect.

I think it would be even more feasible (if you honestly believe bitcoin is going to succeed in 5-10 years time) to invest 75% of your funds into bitcoin while using the other 25% to pay off stuff like bills and that sort of thing.  I mean if you think about it, that's $250,000... For me that's a middle class income for 3 & 1/2 years or something like that. You can do a lot with that kind of money if you spend it properly.

Now the tricky part is deciding when to buy with the 750K you set off to the side, which you have multiple options of either buying it all at once (which that in itself is tricky because of different laws put in place), or try and decide a time to buy each week in increments.  I would think buying a noticeable dip every week with something around $2-5K per week will be optimal in not going all in on one set price and have the potential to lose out big.

As for the $250,000 I think the problem I would run into is that would pay off a whole house, maybe throw in a car and some savings for retirement. Doesn't leave me much play money. Even though in a market like bitcoin you could quickly make the 33% on the 750 to make it up quickly, it just wouldn't be worth the risk... to me. I would think that 250k gets you to a comfortable position where 500k can make life easy.

plus as you mentioned the difficulty of buying that much at once, you would have to buy incrementally.

I think 1000BTC is enough for me. That's almost half million dollars. I can spend other half and enjoy watching Bitcoin to rise. But how can I win a million dollars? Should I play lotto?

and i will stay holding the bitcoins until the price is $1000 plus.

A milion dollars.  So I will make it that the million is after tax.  

I would sell my home and buy a nicer one in the same area.  So this would be 300k off the top of the million.

I WOULD build a second 60kwatt or maybe a 100 kwatt solar array.  I have a forum member that is building a 60kWatt array.

I would buy 100 coins = 45 k

So 300 k for house upgrade
      90 k for 200 coins

           not sure what the solar setup will cost
           some machines s-7's avalon 6's
           some more psu's from finksy and j4bbrwock
    110 k total for the solar setup with miners and psus
    500 k total

This leaves me 500k  in cash  the wife gets that as we are partners n life.  I am sure she will spend some on trips with me to:

 Italy, Norway, Australia, Argentina  maybe Cuba if the USA lets us.

I would probably invested approximately 25-30% in BTC and put it somewhere safe and waited for a good price in the future.Then I would've maybe bought some island and enjoyed the sun and palm trees,of course if there still be the island because of sea-level rise

I would use about 50% for long-investments of which Bitcoin could be 10-20%. By the way it is the same way I doing now with my saved money, though 1 mil is life changing amount indeed. But because I dont waste money on lotteries, I have no idea how it could happen...

A Million really is not all that much. It is probably best to continue your life as you did now, use the interest of the Million dollars to enhance your life here and there and the Million Dollars to feel secure knowing that you could meet any unexpected reasonable financial hurdle (medical treatment, loss of job, etc) with ease.

I would not buy more than maybe 50000 USD worth.

I don't think there is a Million dollar market at any exchange and even if it is then i won't be investing more than 75% of the money.
Diversity is always better with a satisfaction of back-up.

Haha, yeah! I thought so too!   Although I heard that the chance of winning in say The UK National Lottery is lesser than to die before you can get your prize (even if you win).    But nevertheless we all are trying.

You have no CC debt to pay off and have an average mortgage for a working class citizen - maybe you have around $150,000 left to pay off for your house.

You're free to spend as you wish. And invest if you wish.

I will not buy bitcoin too much, if I won the lottery, I would only buy 10 to 20 bitcoin, and the rest will I contribute to several orphanages, life will be more meaningful if we could share with those in need. that what i think,and what i will do when got lottery.
