I would rather have bitcoins since that's worth more and has more potential to grow in value rather than cash.
But then again, I'm still going to need cash to pay bills and just daily stuff.

I prefer to spread it. I must have a certain amount in cash because I can't do anything with Bitcoin in my place. Beside that, I like to have a part of my money invested in Bitcoin, because I believe in it as a currency, and also as in an investment, and as a store of value. Three options that I like about Bitcoin.

I prefer to have a little of both but if I need to give a percentage maybe 70% cash and 30% bitcoins.
agree! Cash is necessity for our daily life spending! Bitcoin is kind of investment for future! But I do spend Bitcoin as much as I can!

If, it was possible to pay for everything with bitcoins, I would take bitcoins over cash every day. Bitcoin is far more superior over cash as a technology, and it serve more

purposes, eg. Smart contracts. In time more merchants and services will accept bitcoin, and then I will switch permanently. The volatility in Bitcoin makes it difficult not to

hoard, but it's definitely a better payment method for the internet.  Roll Eyes

In my country bitcoin is not developed much so I can't use it in daily life.
so, in fact, I have no choice but to cash out my bitcoin funds through paypal i order to cover my daily expenses.
Hope this will change soon.

I would say I prefer bitcoin but in my country bitcoin isn't accepted everywhere yet like most of the people in here.
So I don't have a choice in this but to go for cash, as much as I would want to use bitcoin in my everyday life.

I prefer bitcoins because it is easier to use them. If i have bitcoins i just send them and pay, with banks however you must send a bank transfer which takes days to confirm.

For long term savings Bitcoin easily beats the 0.04% interest rate you will get at a bank in the US. (and don't forget the 4.0% to 7.0% inflation rate!)

I keep about 70%/30% Cash to Bitcoin. The problem is just keeping track of the value of bitcoin. You know it would be really terrible to pay .1 which is currently ~$44 for something that is worth less. The volatility of bitcoin really makes me think if what I purchased with bitcoin was a good choice and if it was really worth that much.

I have to say that with bitcoin I spend much more and faster then with cash. I am of the generation of internet shoppers and so 1 and 1 is 2.
Getting paid in bitcoin should be convenient for me, but as much i hate to say, with cash i will not spend it this fast.
So I would go for cash.

I prefer bitcoins, but i need cash for small payments on my daily routine. I like to use bitcoins on online shopping. And i like to send bitcoins to my cold wallet as an investment. But i need cash to pay a coffe on my local bar (for the moment, on my town there isn't any bar that accepts bitcoins).

The price of bitcoin is regularly fluctuating, so you might get $100 worth of bitcoins now, $50 or $200 worth of bitcoins tomorrow, who knows? So, do you prefer a currency that is more stable, like cash (USD, EUR...), or do you treat bitcoins as a currency, for investment to let it grow?

State why you prefer your option. Smiley

I love the fact that it is so volatile and that makes for a big reason why I am here, it gives potential to earn from it bouncing.

I prefer bitcoin to the usd its just a case for others to feel the same and get accepted everywhere and give me no reason to continue to use usd.

I treat it as both a currency and an investment for the future. In case not obvious my vote is for bitcoin.

Most of the responses here where people say they prefer cash would be from countries where their local currency is fairly stable. There are a bunch of places where that's not so, and I bet their voices are not heard here as much, so the poll isn't representative.

I recently found a good reason to use bitcoin over fiat tho. In Thailand, when I transfer money into a Thai bank account, they have some extremely contorted, ad hoc, rules to ensure it's hard to send that fiat out of the country again. Details at reddit /r/BitcoinThailand.
So now I transfer to Thailand by wire, then immediately convert what i can to bitcoin for safety (and use online).

My preference is clearly for bitcoin over cash.
