Haha, i like that.

Don't feel to bad about it b.t.w. A lot of people bought at the all-time high. You kept patience and look where it brought you. From 75% loss to just 50%.
You're almost there, can you feel it?

Guys I was just joking! Cheesy $1124.76 was the ATH on Stamp. Whoever bought then hasn't admitted it yet. Wink

No, it wasn't. It was 1163$ in Bitstamp and it was almost exactly 1 year before.
Check out the graphics here and make time interval 1w, you'll see: https://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/bitstamp/btcusd
1124$ was good price to buy, it's not even ATH. Cheesy
haha, yes you are right of course! I just took those numbers from the bitcoin wiki page. Smiley

This is supposed to be a sort of satirical post but everyone is taking it seriously. I love how everyone is so supportive. But most do not read the thread, haha.

I believe I've been here long enough to know that this is just another pump and dump, with the dump coming when you will least expect it

We will see some corrections during the rise. The is natural and totally fine.
But I can not see any reasons for a major dump right now.
We had been so long that low and 220s was always rock solid that now there is more than enough trust to make some gains.
Maybe we will hover here around the 400-500 for a while or even a bit lower to high 300s but the closer halving comes the more we will rise again.

I think when price will reach last time ath, there will be big dump from the panic traders and as well as from the one who have bought at around 1k. Till then hope we will not see big downward like we have some days ago.

It depends where you bought from. I bought a tiny fraction of a Bitcoin at the rate of about $1900 per Bitcoin off eBay when it was about $950 on the exchanges. Localbitcoins generally charges higher prices than the exchanges, but eBay takes the biscuit for overcharging. The seller has to take the risk of a chargeback so can get away with charging double money.

Bitcoin is volatile, which means there are always dumps down eventually. That is the nature of volatile markets, spikes up and spikes down.

You never know where the dump will be though. The next dump could start from today's $460 price and take us to $200, or the next dump could start from a $4K ATH and take us down to $2.

The fact that today a "dump" would be down to $300 shows how far bitcoin has come. 3 years ago a "dump" consisted of a drop from $15 to $7. No one even talks about $15 as a possible price to buy anymore. In three years no one will talk about $500 as a possible price to buy either.

and probably won't admit that any time soon... The thing is that we really need solid efforts to get even close to the $1k area, not to say to beat the ath.
In such a case only averaging down was the workable solution, provided one still had enough dry powder.

Seriously, hold your coins, you'll be fine! But hold them even when we will pass the new ATH (at least the majority of them) or you will cry again not long after.

Kudos to you that you did not sell your coins to 'prevent' further losses. This is the most stupid thing to do ever as you then and only then lock in actual losses. You own a currency that "is" and will be worth much more than 1100 USD per coin. I hope you bought more coins when the price was low(er), which includes prices right now.

Stay tough and you'll be rewarded. Do something else with your life in the meantime if you get nervous. Perhaps you won't have to wait long (way earlier than June2016).

If that's your break-even point, then that still seems to be very far currently, and don't think that this time it will be same again...
There are many surprises coming these days, including that Mr. Wright claiming himself to be Satoshi...
The targets aren't easy, so instead, if you want to break even and you feel the price will reach there, why don't you just buy & hodl till then???

If you had bought some coins between 200-300 your break even point could've been even lower than 700 usd.

Why didn't you accumulate some more in the low ranges? Got scared after losing 1/6th of your bitcoin worth in fiat? Which is understandable ofcourse.

I think there are a lot of people that can buy right now and still lower their break even point. We are definitely going higher in the next 12 mo. Great time to buy imo

I think it is better to buy some bitcoin to lower the average to around $600 or lower. The price will rise due to the halving.
