There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

No, you won't make shit for a very long time if you solo mine with 1x 1080.  For the record, Made 3DCR over... 6 weeks? mining 70% of the time. Of course you made some, but the important question is how does this compare to mining another coin, or even a more profitable algo on nicehash and using the profits to buy dcr. My guess is it would be better |

I'm sure lots of people wish to sit in time machine and travel 1.5 years back to set up nice Radeon 390 or Nano farm to dualmine ETH and DCR Long time ago I didn't do attentive research on this project and heavily underestimated it. Maybe it's not too late too invest still. |

Maybe it's not too late too invest still. <----- Built 6x 390x rig 12/2015. It nearly roasted us in the summer, but I'm glad I let the fucker run 24/7 |

This is good news but do be aware that DCR is converted to BTC upon deposit... so ShapeShift's BTC/Decred exchange rate does play into how much your actually loading onto the card. |

Yup. There's this general fear about 8/1 outcome, but it looks like the market has already reacted. I'm expecting some sizeable up-swings the following days for major alts. In any case, be wary of open short positions! |

Well, with bitmain and their bitcoin cash UAHF, which apparently they will implement, there sure will be enough room for confusion. It's not the desparate situation we would have with the UASF, that thankfully is over, but still, there is plenty of opportunity for things to go sideways. |
