LOL, at this thread title. What's the question being asked here? If I think BTC is a currency worth something? Well, since the dollar is not backed by gold anymore, bitcoin does not need to be backed by gold so it is worth nothing just like the dollar. But since it is still used to buy stuff that I need, just like the dollar, to me it is worth it. Give me that money boy!

The question asked here is if bitcoin is worth like a real currency to you or not, it has nothing to do with gold and dollar and their combination.
What i think is that as long as you can use bitcoin like any other currency it is worth like a real currency for us, if it was not accepted anywhere at all nor it was exchangeable then the case might have been different.

Exactly, we can always trade bitcoins because it's being use to fuel transactions. The big demand is coming from the gambling industry and black market maybe, as long as people are using it, it will not lost its value and in fact it will increase and will continue to be worth to us.

Yes i agree... bitcoin is very worthy, if how i value money, that an also equal value i gsve on my bitcoins, bitcoins is also money in digital form, bitcoins makes other transaction of my life easy. Like i can buy my other basic needs from my bitcoin profit. Pay bills without falling in line in payment center, buy loads even at the middle of the night and most, i can have money whenever i need.  Bitcoin is very important especially to us in internet. Yes, I believe so that bitcoin should be quite stable with only minimal fluctuations. But this sudden Jump and pump sometimes sending panic to sum.

Actually I value these two different currency as they also has a value on the market although bitcoin has a bigger value than a real currency and it does increasing but they have the same worth to me so don't have to choose between the two  .

Bitcoin is entirely different with altcoins, bitcoin has gained trust by the people in the community, and I can say that once you are a bitcoin users you can use altcoins as well but you cannot choose to use altcoins without using bitcoins. That's the big difference, bitcoin is the father of all crypto.
