It's been awhile since I funded my Mt. Gox account (about half a year).  When I did before they had a handy setup with I think it was bitinstant.com where you simply placed the order, got some deposit information, went to one of several major banks, deposited the cash and a few hours later you had the BTC in your Mt. Gox account.  The fee was something nice and small, no more than 1%.  Apparently things have changed now, I tried to fund through their partnership with bitinstant.com and when all was said and done I had to go through another 3rd party (zipzap or something), and the total fee they wanted was 4%.

Is there some easier way to fund with cash deposits that has a smaller fee?  4% seems like a pretty crappy cut to pay.

I'm also wondering if this will ever get simpler instead of more complex, I mean FFS all I'm ultimately doing is exchanging some currency.
