In the future when making payments, always use an address you control and can sign messages from. Anyone can post a link showing a "proof" of payment from a web service. Using your own wallet removes all doubt.

I think MoneyPot is pretty trustworthy anyways.

I think MoneyPot is pretty trustworthy anyways. It is mainly done for your protection - you can ask the seller to sign a message from their address in a public thread as well. That way there is no doubt about the veracity of your claims. Sorry that people feel the need to scam for a few dollars in bitcoin.

I hate to point it out, but people like the OP are the reason scammers keep coming here.

Actually, yes this as well. Escrow can save you the problems you experienced.

Escrow on this forum is a complete joke. Nobody trusted escrows, and the people that do take an hour to a day each time to respond. It's not worth the hassle.

well you got what you paid for then whose problem it is if you deliberately chose to trust a noob over a reputable escrow to save a few hours?

Look at what happened to you after not trusting an escrow. There might be a mistake committed by an escrow before but that doesn't mean all escrows are the same. Unfortunately this lesson cost you a few $$.
