new elite unless concensus prevails what they didn't concieve is that bitcoin requires consnsus they thought they could use their manipulation and fear mongering to fool the ecosystem but we r smarter than that

actually gavin didnt want dictatorship.. afterall he owned the github key and could have implimented any code he liked without others opinion.. but instead he made a different client and a different github to allow people to choose which project they wanted to be part of..

that is democracy..

yes he lost out and people didnt move across to his xt project, but atleast bitcoin-core wasnt dictated or forced into becoming xt.

i think the whole drama over this saga has been mis-interpretted and gavin actually done the right thing.

i hope in the future anyone with an idea that goes against the grain doesnt just force it through, but makes it a separate project and tries to lobby support.. even if it doesnt win consensus support atleast its better than over rulling the main project without consensus.

i do find it funny that people think gavins intentions to make xt a side project was a bad thing, yes the idea of xt itself didnt win but making it a sideproject to not inhibit bitcoin-core should be considered a good thing.

and that cryptocoinnews should not be using the charlie chaplin 'great dictator' image.

after all its video's of 'the great dictator speach' that has inspired people to want to help the world
