We did see an increase in price though, if we see this pace every year around this time no doubt we will be at 800-900 next year.

Everyone thought it'd make a 700 dollar mark because people tend to buy things during this season.


How sad.

I have never seen a thread where people have predicted that price will go beyond 700 in this holiday may be you have misread, they may have said it will be 700 by next year.

I think OP got trolled if he really thought everybody was predicting $700 by Christmas.  I disagree though on 6 months ago the price being $200 is not significant.  I think that's very significant.

Price is at equilibrium right now and I don't like it. Neither below 400 so we could buy in, nor above 500 so we could cash out. In any way, it stops me from investing either in coins or other useful items to support my mining efforts (just for fun). If it went up more I'd buy a few more solar panels to 'mine' electricity.

Maybe thats the problem, As soon as price gets near or above 500 people like you cash out and drop it back down again. Why not just hold for higher?

As long as the price is higher then what I bought in at im happy . I still think itll be going up alot in the coming year. 2016 will prove to be a very good year for crypto's.

I see it more positively and i am satisfied by the current performance and value of the Bitcoin.It is pretty decent price and majority of people didnt expect that price will go that higher.It is stable and seems stronger than ever in my opinion.

How is that not significant? Let's take a look at the longer term growth of the price over the whole current year, without looking at the large drop to sub $200, and the peak to $500.

Bitstamp price on January 01, was $313.81.
Bitstamp price on December 25, is $453.58.

It shows an increase of over 44%!!!
