In my honest opinion, you should donate his 10 BTC to a worthy charity. Keep the 4 BTC in "winnings" to help cover the damage of his double spends.
Its obvious it was the same guy. Too much coincidence to not be especially in betting style, game, fee type when BTC sent, and his argument to just get back his 10 BTC.

Those sites are ridiculous! An example review: "You go through a very long process of signing up. It took them 72 hours to verify my account, which is way too long. They weren’t apologetic either and came up with a story saying that my ID was unreadable, which is a complete lie. Then you deposit some Bitcoin into your account and get a sign up bonus..." 1. We have no sign up or verification process whatsoever 2. We never ask for ID 3. We don't give sign up bonuses because our house edge is too low. I guess we should be honored that people are spending time and money on writing fake reviews about Bitcoin Video Casino...?  You were one of a whole bunch of targets of some obvious smear campaign, of which I actually compiled a list of targeted casinos from the campaign and reported it to trustpilot.com Their response: "It is unclear from your message what action you would like us to take". I really can't help but think they are operating in bad-faith, and they leverage this sort of stuff as a part of some upselling package. The smear campaign itself is so laughably off base, and poorly researched I can't help but think it was done by someone totally unfamiliar with the industry. (e.g. as Dooglus pointed out, they think PrimeDice is a poker house) |
Check out gamblingsitefinder.com for a decent list/rankings of crypto casinos. Note: I have no affiliation or interest in it, and don't even agree with all the rankings ... but it's the only uncorrupted review site I'm aware of. |

I do believe you should arbitrate the issue with a trusted user on the forum or within the community.
I don't see either sides coming to an agreement, and I believe the matter should be viewed and decided upon by a 3rd party. I can understand both sides of the argument here.
Unibtc.4real definitely seems sketchy and I feel that he is 99% guilty, but I have to give him the reasonable doubt. I believe cheaters and exploiters should be punished, but only if we know without a doubt that they are the culprit.
Going forward, as Dooglus said, maybe a re-design of the system to prevent this manipulation in the future?

Sure, we can arbitrate the issue with a third party. We were hoping that the forum here would come to a consensus, but we can also go through an arbiter instead. Do you have any suggestions on how to do this? Or who to use? Nobody here has ever used a Bitcoin arbiter before. |

We've been having some trouble with double spend attacks lately. This means that unfortunately some deposits will now require 1 confirmation before they will be credited to your account. When you make a deposit, you may now see a "pending deposit" popup telling you that 1 confirmation is required. Most normal transactions with a standard miner's fee should still get credited instantly. We are tweaking the system but hopefully we will be able to make all legitimate deposits zero-confirmation again! |

Cwil wrote a good explanation of how a double spend could work.
Sure, I'll explain it. You control two addresses, A and B. A has some balance. You create a transaction with some casino that credits your balance with 0 confirmations as the recipient which we'll call Tx1. You create another transaction using the same inputs as Tx1 with B as the recipient which we'll call Tx2. Broadcast Tx1. As soon as the casino credits your balance, you place a bet. If you win, wait to confirm and withdraw. If you lose, broadcast Tx2.
This won't work most of the time, because all things equal, Tx1 will propagate through the network quicker.
To make it work better, include a below standard or no fee in Tx1, and a normal or above average fee in Tx2. Include a blacklisted address in Tx1 like satoshidice but not Tx2 and broadcast Tx2 directly to a miner that utilizes a blacklist (referring to LukeJr here, though not sure if he still does this). If the site runs its own node, you could peer with that node, broadcast Tx1, and then utilize some kind of dos attack in combination with the double spend attack to increase your chances.
There's still luck and timing involved, but with the 1% or less edge many casinos are running these days, it could be enough to push a game +EV.

Even with the price of bitcoin dropping, those are some HUGE jackpots.
Those of us who have played at regular online casinos in the past. Can you imagine winning 40-50 grand and have the site go "ok, it'll be in your account in 10-20 minutes and you can withdraw it"

We regularly delete old accounts that have absolutely no activity associated with them. I'm guessing that some of your referred users created a new account, but then didn't make any deposits or play any games. The "referral accounts playing" number should never go down, since those are legitimate playing users. We never delete any accounts that have played games or have made deposits. We would never delete an account to try to lower affiliate payouts. If the affiliate program can bring more users to our site then we will happily share 25% of our profit. |

I had a deposit and wasn't looking. Thought I saw something, but didn't catch it. Checked this thread and realized that's probably what it was.

Yes, a "P" or something like that next to the balance could be a good idea. The new "pending deposit" popup dialog box looks a lot like the original "new deposit" popup, so it's easy to quickly dismiss the dialog box and then wonder where the credits are. Most deposits still don't require any confirmations, so this shouldn't be a problem for most people. We can try to further tweak our system to prevent more transactions requiring one confirmation. |
