I've downloaded the blockchain, and it looks as if I've got a couple of addresses. Now how do I test things? Do I join a faucet, and see if I get a transfer?
Best sign up to some exchange and buy bitcoins for 1$. Then try to send it anywhere to see how it works. Easiest learning in the world Smiley

I would go with exchange as well.  It will be more work the first time you use it.  But it's nice later on that you have it all set up and is easy to use.

Faucet time is just to slow.  You will waste a lot of time if you go this route.   But some do it.

Yeah, its closer to 60GB now than to 50 GB, but 100 GB still a while away. I recently did an estimate because the disk they want to shoot into space has 100GB for the blockchain and IIRC it would hold for another ~400 days.

Im not really here, its just your imagination.

I doubt you'll need this, but just updated my faucet list today bloggingwithbloggers.com/List if you want to play around with some more bitcoin. Seeing as how you already have some bitcoin don't know if this is too late or not. Other suggestion would be since you've verified you're wallet actually works you can sign up for a signature campaign if you haven't already!

Thanks fpr the suggestion. I think I'm going to try selling a few things, I'm not too keen on sig campaigns. I'll probably link to some of my own sites when I've sorted out my hosting and put some pages together. Smiley I've put texaskid.com up for sale, and I'll add a few more when I check to see which domain names I've got left.

You can test by getting some satohis from fauceting and trying to send it to your wallet address in blockchain
you have to wait the confirmations still the transaction get the "confirmed" status
