2oz .9999 Gold NastyFans Minted Seats!

SOLD OUT. A 4oz version is being made available: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1538325.0

Description:
These 2oz .9999 solid gold coins come attached to 50 NastyFans seats and will be minted in a limited 10 coin batch.  Due to gold being twice as dense as silver, these coins will be extremely similar in size and design to the 1oz silver Minted Seats.

NastyFans Minted Seat Features:
  • Receives & Stores Bitcoin Distributions for 50 NastyFans Seats
  • $5,000 Fundraiser for NastyFans
  • 2oz .9999 Fine Gold
  • 39mm in Diameter
  • Proof-like Finish
  • Tamper-Evident Custom Security Hologram
  • Engraved Public & Private Keys
  • 9 Character Sequential Public Key Vanity Addresses (i.e. 1NastyAuX)
  • Limited 10 Coin Production Batch
  • Sealed in Plastic Airtite Capsule
  • Coin Analyzer available at analyzer.nastyfans.org
  • Matching 1oz Silver Minted Seat w/ Gold Highlighting (pictured below)

I wanted to spice up this package a bit and have been waiting on pictures to make the announcement.  I will be including a gold highlighted 1oz silver coin with each 2oz gold coin.  The vanity addresses on these pairs will be unique, in that they will each include a matching 1NastyAu_ prefix.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Omg those will be beautiful. If my little kitty didn't destroy the ligaments in his leg and need 3000+ dollar surgery, I would seriously consider buying one. Good luck with your sale, these will be a great additional to some collection.

These look badass Og, and a 2 oz .9999 Gold physical Bitcoin would be the first of its kind for sure!

However, I do feel like a 2 oz. Gold physical Bitcoin might be a little too ambitious for what I've seen of the physical coin market on here lately. The premium is very high, although I do know that such limited minting runs, design time, hologram cost, precious metal supply, minting fees, assembly, engraving, etc. + NastyFans donation has to be factored in, so I'm not knocking the price.

I do wish you luck with your newest NastyFans coin venture and hope to see these beauties minted! It's not very often you see 2 oz Gold coins/rounds, even in the bullion world.

Might I point out that after Casascius minted his Gold coins, it initially cost $5,000 per coin including BTC. Chaang Noi (Goat) Sold his gold coin for close to $1,000,000.  Shocked

Not quite sure that I understand the donation aspect of the coin? If people wanted to donate to the NastyFans project, then surely they can do that on their own without forcing this into part of the sales price. It is already a high end and expensive item, it just looks like you are tacking on fees to gouge your customers

COST: $200 premium over gold spot price (subject to a $1850 per coin reserve), plus shipping, plus you provide the 1000 BTC.  Complete with BTC, this is approximately a $5000 coin.  Shipping is via Registered Mail with insurance.

Looks like the Casascius gold coin was only $200 over gold cost for the coin itself.  That was very reasonable for such a low minted coin.

For another comparison, the Titan 1 BTC Gold was around $450-$500 over spot for the coin only.

We will see.  I've been asked to do a gold coin for several years now.  I expect it will take some time for interested parties to get funds together, but I hope to see this project come to fruition.  A 1oz coin wouldn't have allowed enough space to engrave and secure a private key while still maintaining complete visibility of the public key so a 2oz was born.
