Sir Gavin, Knight of Bitcoin, annointed by the great King Satoshi was led astray by a devious Betrayer, the evil Black Knight of the Hearn, Champion of the Dark Realm of the Banks.  The Annointed Knight of the Bitcoin followed the whisperings of the Betrayer and now is paralyzed by the shame of his actions, hiding his face amidst the soft and easy comfort of foolish ones, the Conflicted Counselors of Blockstream.  And so the Kingdom of Bitcoin has become Divided, sliding into decay, and no one heeds the Voice of Wisdom, for it has been silenced by fools.

Ah, Sir Knight!  Wherefore art thy former Glory and Courage!?!?  Or have they forever betrayed and abandoned thy people and thy King!?!?  Arise and shake off thy dishonor good sir, and do thy duty!  ARISE AND UNITE THE DIVIDED KINGDOM!!!!

2mb block increase w/Slow, Measured increases build in - possibly capping at 8 or 16 or 32 (Can be increased later if needed but fixes current situation and establishes a roadmap people can begin to have faith in, make plans for, acquire funding for, and eliminates the uncertainty which is paralyzing the entire ecosystem at present).  Also establishes another temporary cap - and forces growth to be intelligent and not so sprawling.  Keeps a focus and biased toward side chain development (which is, and should be, considered as part of the overall endgame solution) .  Also allows for a guaranteed maximum growth curve that people can trust in, plan for, including the miners. Allows for increases in bandwidth/storage to keep up with growth, and it allows for solutions (example SegWit) to also be implemented to take pressure off the bitcoin network.

"Your bitcoin is secured in a way that is physically impossible for others to access, no matter for what reason, no matter how good the excuse, no matter a majority of miners, no matter what." -- Greg Maxwell

Alas.  It appears there is no interest in central paths, nor wisdom.  Perhaps the rot within the Kingdom is too far spread, and no Knight of the Bitcoin shall be forthcoming.   I sense within the Kingdom of Bitcoin a growing dread and hopelessness.   Perchance in time they shall sing songs of the glorious Kingdom that almost was.  Perchance it shall at least live eternally in glorious memory.

For the 1st time I am firmly of the opinion that the odds favor that Bitcoin will either go to zero or become an alt coin.  Nobody trusts the governance anymore.  The overwhelming majority are beginning to doubt the integrity of the path.  It's not enough that Bitcoin is attacked by Mainstream Media / Fiat Powers, now it is divided from within.

Obviously there is a solid possibility it survives, but honestly, and I mean this sincerely, I'm not sure I care about a bitcoin that is crippled into sidechains, and controlled by a governance team that is already showing itself to be just as manipulative, biased, controlling and arrogant as the current Fiat System.

It's really sad, but it is also very obvious that I am right.  The Global Financial System is so fragile right now.  Bitcoin should be skyrocketing.  But it is struggling to hold gains.  Its a confidence thing.  You've got huge inflows from new users - but huge chunks of insiders are selling out as fast as they can.  Everybody can sense it.  It's been a good run, but Bitcoin can't survive its current biggest threat.  Not the Fiat Banks, nor Regulators, nor Mainstream Media.  Bitcoin is being slowly strangled by its babysitters.  And everyone is helplessly watching.

I am not quite there yet, but I am starting to get that old "Take Your Profit" and bail feeling.
