The hype has started dying down, USD exchanges are dominated by Chinese onesinvestments are getting back to 2013 levels and the supposedly interesting bitcoin-related projects of 2015 didn't have a positive impact to adoption or the market.

2016 has started not well with lots of pumps and dumps, which means that bitcoin price in 2016 will not be stable, let's hope for a huge pump at halving period. I already saw 2 dumps and 1 pumps. But the price is still in the $400 range. It is quite stable for the last two months. Yes it's stable from three months actually now we can assume that the lowest for Bitcoin is $350 and averages $400 |

Considering the substantial potential this is a very low price for BTC, especially if we take into account that the "production" price of BTC block is quite high. A good price right now should be around 750$

Why do you think if I may ask. I know you're very negative because the price is now clear is very low.
But you should think so, if the price is low now is a good opportunity to buy it. So that later you can win more money back when the lake where later.
You need patience and not as negative.

By the looks of it 2016 will be anything but boring for bitcoin. The block size debate goes on plus we have the halving in the summer.
There will be be lots of drama this year.
The drama is what will make 2016 another year of roller coaster rides. Halving, I think, is another event that we should all be waiting for. Aside from the potential price increase, it's also one of the deciding factors for miners to stay or go. |

Well i think the price will rise again above 500 if the halving ends. yeah the difficulty for now is not profitable. But i think is just a nature of bitcoin that the price will dump and rise. According to the trader outside that the price should be rise around $15 later Why they know the price fluctuate?. But i think its bettter to wait later if this is true.. |

I think the block size debate and an eventual consensus of the block size will show the resilience of the community. The price will fly. if the stupid block size debate was not this big and dramatic, i am sure that bitcoin price would have been at least twice what it is right now. this debate and lack of consensus is becoming a big break in front of the big price rise that we were all expecting this year due to halving. |
Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.
Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

in the beginning 2016 i would say yes this year is boring year for bitcoin because the price movement does not look so good and for trading activity i think a bit difficult to earn huge profit except if you do a trade with a huge capital

The price will fly. if the stupid block size debate was not this big and dramatic, i am sure that bitcoin price would have been at least twice what it is right now. this debate and lack of consensus is becoming a big break in front of the big price rise that we were all expecting this year due to halving. The blocksize debate had been going on for a long long time. Ever since satoshi was here. Surely the recent fork drama created some uncertainty in the markets but it can't be te only factor. Saying that the price would be double than what it is now if it weren't for the drama is an overstatement. Don't forget that 2016 didn'g begin with great news for bitcoin overall. MMM, stress tests, Cryptsy, etc... |

the price in january went down from just over $450 to just over $350! that's not really something i consider to be boring. day traders have had some good periods with high volume where the good traders have earned themself a decent profit. |

No we already had some boring time when price moving for several months in the 200s.Not again please. This year we will some interesting and exciting moments imo. The year just has started and the blocksize debate alone will entertain us the whole year I believe. |

Incoming halving, steam maybe accepting btc as payments. I think this is nice signs for nice things to happen, nothing is happening over night. I dont think why people are so impatient with that btc price. Let it go, play games, earn it, gamble it rise will come for sure in some moment. |

Steam users dont need bitcoin to do what they are already doing There should be something unique which can be done only with bitcoins for that to happen or else it is the same fake bumps and dumps manipulating the prices and creating a fake appearance,which is obviously boring  |
