Hmmph.... seeing two different stats for the current # of bitcoins mined:

1. Coinmarketcap says there are 14,989,075 in circulation at the moment.

2. Blockchain.info says there are 14,992,450.

Anyone have a handle on which is right? Or what the truth is if neither?

The reason I found this bit of trivia interesting is that a few weeks ago it looked like Bitcoin might hit the 15,000,000 mark right on Christmas day. Now it looks like it will beat that slightly. Still, Merry Christmas, Bitcoin - and bitcoiners everywhere. :-)
two sources above are very trustworthy, I also think that was correct data, many people proclaim that indeed bitcoin leaving 6 million units again, but if you want to be sure, just wait until the time bitcoin bitcoin halving or can no longer mine Grin
