Now I have to split up my purchases to under $1000, I work out of town and my post office holds packages up to 3wks, all the couriers only 5 business days.

After further playing around with your site, it seems USPS is not an option at all when paying in btc. As soon as I flip the order into $ USPS becomes an option.... That on purpose?

Yes and no. The rules are set in USD. The calculator thinks that 1 BTC = 1 USD, which has distorted our shipping options. It will be fixed in the next week - 2 weeks.

Thank you for the questions, they are indeed difficult questions to answer. This is the response we are required to give you:

According to the Financial Crime Enforcement Network (FinCEN), we are not a Money Service Business (MSB). Luckily we do not have to have all the rules, regulations, and lawyer fees that MSB's must have. However it is required by law that we have an anti-money laundering (AML) policy, and we do have one. The basic premise of the AML policy is that we must know our customers. We must be vigilant of customers laundering money for terrorist activities and other illegal activities. Because of the AML policy, we are required to say that you may not use a fake name for shipping/billing.

Disregarding the above, it is not recommended to use a fake name for a few other reasons. If you use a fake name, the shipping service may not deliver the goods to your house because the name does not match the owner of the house. If a signature or signature + identification is required (for very large orders), you may be shooting yourself in the foot because the carrier will most likely not leave the goods with you. This may also void any insurance claims if a shipment is lost in the mail.

We keep customer order information indefinitely. However we do not retain or store any payment information on file such as your credit card number, bank account, or bitcoin address. We do value privacy and do not sell or give away any customer information to any other institution. We have a paper shredder and love to use it as much as possible. We do not hand any information over to any authority unless we receive a warrant. A warrant will ask for a specific persons information.

If you're a terrorist, don't do business with us. If you're spending millions of dollars in bitcoins on gold and silver, then give us a call so we can talk more in depth about AML and IRS reporting. Otherwise, you should not have too much to worry about.

I just wanted to drop a thumbs up into the thread here.

There was some miscommunication on the numbers of an item they had available. We managed to arrange for a substitute via their customer service and the day after I sent my final reply confirming the substitute would be acceptable, I had my order in my hands.

So from ordering on 5/16, we arranged a substitute for a portion of the order on the same day. I confirmed the substitute was acceptable on 5/17 and received my order on 5/18.

I'll certainly be doing business with Amagi metals again (and most likely again and again and again each time I mine enough BTC for more orders).

Recently made an order with Amagi Metals for a total of 5oz of silver (http://www.amagimetals.com/silver/fractional-mix/1-2-ounce/1-2-oz-silver-marijuana-round.html <-- these rounds, which I think will make pretty cool gifts for friends, and I can tell them I payed with bitcoins  )

Unfortunately when the parcel arrived it was empty - the box had been opened and I'm assuming the goods were stolen in transit. I sent an email and got a very quick reply with the offer of a full refund. As I still wanted the order, I asked for a reship instead which has been sent today. Excellent communication from these guys, and great customer service. I hope the reship arrives safely.

We have been experiencing some checkout issues with bitcoin this last week. We are pleased to announce that the checkout issues are resolved and the bitcoin checkout process is hassle-free again!

It is still not recommended that you use CoinBase to send payments because of their exceptionally slow processing times.
