Nano isn't supported natively in the Live wallet. You can only install the app on your Ledger device, but not receive/send/manage from the desktop wallet.

You will need to use an external app (e.g: Nanovault).

Oh I see.. Do you have an idea where I can see future planned updates that will implement Nano inside the desktop wallet? Can I feel safe to use Nanovault until then?

I do not think there are any plans that Nano will be implemented in Ledger desktop app for now. They give us possibility to store Nano coins in hardware wallet, but as a user interface we can only use NanoVault. I think it was simply technically not feasible for them to add Nano to desktop wallet since it is
completely different technology included here. But if you have coins in your hardware wallet they should be safe, regardless of which user interface is used.

You can see more about future updates on Ledger Roadmap

They said somewhere that they plan to support more coins in the Ledger Live wallet. But they are probably focusing on other things first.

Right now, only coins based on Bitcoin are supported natively.

As far as i remember they told the first step was to implement the coins which were supported by their chrome applications (since chrome is shutting down all chrome applications + google is gathering massive amounts of user data).
Ledger told they are going to increase the number of supported coins gradually. In the end we will (hopefully) be able to access all coins storable on the nano s via ledger live.

But coins which were accessable via chrome applications needed to be implemented first -> then bug fixes -> UI/UX improvements -> adding erc20 -> adding more coins is the plan according to ledger.
