Hello,
I am mining litecoin.

Please see the image above.
Is it working?
Is it possible mining litecoin using my laptop? I have intel core i5 CPU and ATI GPU. What can I do to improve the mining speed?

It is possible, in theory.
Litecoin and other Scrypt coins are dominated by ASICs, not even GPU mining make sense. You better search for CPU coins, you will not get the minimum payout together within a year (or even shares to receive a part of the block reward) as the speed to super low compared to ASICs. Additionally there's a high risk you're damaging your laptop (overheat).

If you're looking for an alternative coin, check XMG out (I would recommend to use the sweetspot mining software when mining with a laptop at all).

Do not use your pc for mining litecoin. It is not mineable by CPU anymore. It is not efficient. You can mine Monero if your CPU supports AES-NI.

Im just going to chime in here and say whats been said already, your wasting your time and electricity mining lite with your laptop, not to mention your laptop is going to be roasted from being flat out the whole time. laptop just doesn't have enough hashing power.

Agreed, it is not the best move.  I tried when I first came into bitcoin a couple of years ago to use my laptop to mine LTC and it was a joke so if you do want to mine you would probably be best joining a pool and renting a rig, although it could be just as cheap to buy some Smiley

Mining any coin with a laptop = HIGH probability of early laptop death, and pretty heavy LOSS on most coins even if it doesn't die.

 VERY VERY BAD IDEA.

 Laptops are NOT INTENDED FOR 24/7 OPERATION, and anything much less than that even on "profitable" coins isn't going to make much if anything.

If you can control the voltage of your laptop CPU and GPU, then it is OK to mine if you undervolt and underclock your laptop. Do not mine litecoin as that can be mined by ASIC.

You can. But you will mine so little, a fraction of a fraction of a litecoin. Just don't.

 No, it's NOT as other parts of the Laptop will tend to overheat as well. They flat out ARE NOT DESIGNED for 24/7 operation.

 Mining with a laptop is a good way to cause it to die FAST AND EARLY.

 Mining Litecoin with ANY computer is a bad idea anyway, guarenteed LOSS doing so for very little Litecoin income.
 ASIC is the ONLY way with any Scrypt (Litecoin, Doge, etc) coin, even early ASIC don't make anything any more unless you have SUPER CHEAP electric - then they're breakeven.

If your laptop has good heat ventilation, you can mine some CPU coins. But do not mine litecoin or other Scrypt coins.

The difficulty is high, you may not even mine a coin

Try minergate, Way easier than this and uses Cryptonight so you might actually make 2 cents a week with your laptop

2 years before cpu and gpu minings were profitable. from now on cpu and gpu mining is not profitable. you can make mining but you can not earn money because you must pay more electric cost than you can earn.
i do not advise cpu and gpu mining to you. But if you want to try you can look the following links;
cpu mining calculate which coin more gain;

gpu mining calculate which coin more gain;
