what confuses me is the count on the last stretch then. if the last correction was a 4, why you count the spike before as a 1 and the correction itself as a 2??? shouldnt this new spike be the i of 5 then?

EDIT: OK, i think i see it now... the 4 is the correction from $49... sorry, was misinterpreting the position of the numbers. :p

how much u bet on a rising wedge ? Cheesy
Sure it looks like wedge, as 10th times before. It still can break down and continue trace green channel. But even its bottom is in my TP zone. I think it will break green top line, as 10th times before. Even otherwise I will not be too sad =)

Actually hourly chart is full of negative divergences on primary oscillators. And price continues to bump its head on upper green trend resistance. Break or fall? Wave 3 should not be the shortest...

Very good thread, excellent analysis. I see you put a lot of time and effort into your work, and I hope the people who enjoy it and learn from it are kind enough to tip or at least give thanks!

I would love to do TA on Bitcoin with this sort of attention to detail, but the lack of charting software comparable to professional day-trading platforms and the fact that Bitcoin trading/exchanges completely lack leverage I've never been able to divert so much attention to it (gains to be had in traditional futures and FOREX are simply way bigger). And I think that's what makes your work even more worthy of praise. I think you've broken a lot of ground here and have only just begun unraveling the mysteries and complexities of bitcoin TA -- and for that I must applaud you, sir!  Smiley

At this point I've sold my coin and withdrawn from the mix, because these vertical/parabolic explosions never end well, and I fear the gig will soon be up. But I will, of course, welcome a deep correction with open arms. It will be great for things to settle down again and see the community focusing on the growth of the underlying bitconomy -- new bitcoin businesses, new services, new products, new software. Those are the things that makes bitcoin grow, whereas huge influxes of speculative dollars create levels of explosive volatility that are counter-productive [to the goal of having a ubiquitous international currency]. Speculation is a lot like sugar... sugar is good, sugar is sweet and we all enjoy a little sugar... but if you eat 2lbs of it per day for two months straight it will eventually get ugly (and so will you lol).

It's still a too early to call, but we may have a head & shoulders growing on the charts. I'll be interested to see if it forms a full neck-line in the coming days, or if it decides to explode upward toward $100 before people start panicking. In any case, the psychology at play here is incredibly interesting and I'm keeping tabs on the hourly chart.  Smiley

Btw the huge fifth wave blowoff that we're experiencing is more like a commodity market than equities or currencies

There will be an epic panic when it breaks, although this could begin at much highers levels though given that count (i.e. past $100 or even $200).

Pretty quick. 1-2 weeks. Price can't go parabolic too long, as June 2011 Shows.

Other details see in s3052 hints. He is right with comparing current situation with June 2011. But i don't copy him. I only say he is right.

Wow man, bull juice is strong! I want some!!!

How can that happen when there has been so much resistance around $80 and $90???

You think that once $100 pop up, everyone will just buy whaever is in the way without thinking it?

in hourly...

$80 has been like the $50, i thought $100 was going to be another barrier, not $75-$80.

I was just wondering. After all $50 to $75 was fairly quick and explosive as you describe.

EDIT: i guess a bigger explosion has yet to come

Honestly, do you think $75 - $80 is resistance, or old hands/manipulators creating walls to cool things down? I don't think the market is as free as you like to think.
