Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

We need a lot more of these initiatives to cancel out all the bad press... Bitcoin makes a huge difference, once the technology is applied correctly. Take freebitco.in as a

example... they implemented a "donation" option within their faucet and nearly $4000 have been donated through this option to Save the Children. Who would have though

people who use faucets would donate some of that money to charity? It just shows you how generous this community is and what positive things can happen when the

technology is used correctly.  Grin
