Why is primedice restricted in some countries?

Hey guys, I've heard alot of good things about primedice and how it has a great community and interface.

I've always wanted to bet there, but for some reason primedice restricts players from using their site in my country, Australia. Why is this?

Also, is it restricted in any other countries?

Use a free VPN to bypass this. Lots of free vpns on the web.
I am guessing it's because it is illegal in some places/gambling laws do not allow you to gamble without verification, e.t.c

If I'm not wrong it is not primedice restrict people to access there website but some countries are blocking primedice site so you can't access. Primedice want more people to play there game but because of its popularity some countries are blocking it. If you want than you can use VAN.

Yeah it is true that some country banned some sites so you can't play on it. I think you can just change your IP or VPN to continue playing in primedice.  There is nothing that you can't do in this world, unless you are not trying anything

Yeah it is true that some country banned some sites so you can't play on it. I think you can just change your IP or VPN to continue playing in primedice.  There is nothing that you can't do in this world, unless you are not trying anything

But why has primedice banned Australia in particular? They haven't banned players from the United States.

And also, why haven't other sites like crypto-games or FastDice banned players in Australia? Or is it because the Australian government banned primedice in particular?

it is posted on the primedice thread but i cant find it as of now, probably because different countries have different laws about online gambling and by that PrimeDice choose to block all users from those countries but if really still want to gamble at PD you use VPN or proxy

You could have asked this question in the Primedice thread itself instead of opening a new thread for it.

Not only PD, some of the other sites do this too. They ban players from these countries because Casinos without a proper license are not allowed in those countries and they do this to protect themselves from any legal issues. I think this was after or around the time Micon was arrested and Seals with Clubs was shutdown.

Also, a word of caution, if your country is banned and you still deposit and play at those casinos using Tor/VPN/Proxy, your funds might get confiscated if the casino finds out your location. And you're more likely to get your funds stolen through MITM attack, so be careful.

I think online gambling is not allowed in some countries and primedice is quite popular site for online gambling so many countries are banned this site. It is not accessible even from Singapore also.

It is a common practice because they want to follow the law. Sites that dont restrict access have a higher chance of being looked closer at by the the authorities. Many sites have restrictions in place that forbid specific countries from playing there.
The usual solution is VPS or a VPN as suggested.

Have you tried other gambling sites to make sure they open in your country or not? if not,then clearly your country banned these sites for legal issues,May be these sites are not legal in your country..If yes,and only primedice is not opening then primedice banned users from your country and you can know the reason by posting in "Primedice Thread" on bitcointalk.
If you still want to play on primedice at your own risk then just use any secure vpn mate.

I think that due to the limited legislative component in different countries in relation to bitcoin and to the services based on it, imposes some restrictions on these resources in one form or another, but not going beyond General principles, although it may play, the fact that such services can be used anonymously, and that of course the regulators is the desire to eat and what is open for people to talk about it no one will

Like everyone mentioned it. May be Australia that blocked primedice for their people to play on it, we dont even know it. So meanwhile you can try to use VPN or IP changer to play it. Or you can contact primedice support for this matter

There is no way primedice would block them just because their country banned their site to be played on their region. The purpose of opening this site is to attract more people to play so what is the point for banning them to play at primedice?

well you can easily use vpn or proxies in order to access the website in a restricted country, it might be restricted because of a one reason only in my opinion, different countries have different regulations on bitcoin, i hope you will manage to access it and win a lot of money

But actually I agree at least partly. PrimeDice is banned in the US as far as I know and nevertheless you can still see some people from the US in the PD chat. You know, if you want something badly you will find a way to do it.)
