I thought it was a good day to do some research.

Starting with Betcoin.AG.

The used a template for their website and started a signature campaign.
So far no good. No respectable company would use a 10 dollar template but the big boys of betcoin.ag did.

This got me curious an i checked their whois.
https://www.instra.com/en/whois/whois-result/betcoin_ag

_______________________________________________________________________________ ______________

And they used a company who offers privacy for the owners called gandi.
Registrant ID:SL9759-GANDI
Registrant Name:Stephen Lee
Registrant Organization:
Registrant Street1:Obfuscated whois Gandi-63-65 boulevard Massena
Registrant Street2:
Registrant Street3:
Registrant City:Obfuscated whois Gandi-Paris
Registrant State/Province:
Registrant Postal Code:75013
Registrant Country:FR
Registrant Phone:+33.170377666
Registrant Phone Ext.:
Registrant FAX:+33.143730576
Registrant FAX Ext.:
Registrant Email:8675acd1b1577fd555df499e5696ce2b-4060910@contact.gandi.net

Which is interesting. Would a honest company hide their identity?
Nope!

So Iproceeded and found out the .ag is a
.ag is the Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Antigua and Barbuda.

A scammers safe haven.
_______________________________________________________________________________ ______________

So    my fellow gambling friends this company decided to stay anonymous so they can dissapear quickly.
Question is, will the bitcoin community let them or should we ask them for a official company details. Operation without a official registration is illegal in ALL countries.

In most countries it's illegal to have a gambling operation without a proper licence.

As it is mr Betcoin.ag.
On your website there is no proper license nor company details about your 'gambling' company.

Since you are so new and there is no information about company you operate illegal.

Sure you can forget some official papers, but it seems you are the next scam going to happen.
In case you can't answer my questions, I stormed to make a twitter account:
https://twitter.com/StormiXzc/status/683851287595626496

King regards,
Eddy

P.S. Legit questions from a concerned member. I hope the mods don't have to move this to the scam accusation thread.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Interesting .

Why would Antigua and Barbuda be a scammers safe haven?

I thought I recognised the template. As soon as I saw it, I turned away and went back to crypto-games  Grin

This is why you should always stay with a trusted casino, like primedice or another.

Betcoin.ag is a strong book with a big customer base. There are quite a few top books located in unregulated jurisdictions.

That's making a lot of sense.
A strong book while just launching?

Being anonymous and having a hero account to back it up.
DDude it's 2016 that don't count anymore.

Give us some solid proof they are legit. Since they are to ''busy''

Thomas listen up. Most of these sites are scammers.

Your 'reseach' is ok but new sites here who prefer to stay anonymous are just like newbie accounts.

Your research is on par with a 5 year old.  Anyone with half a brain could figure out everything you presented.  Not only that, but some of your accusations are wrong.

They are not new and did not just launch as you have insinuated.  They have been around for years and have done nothing short of showing the highest quality customer service in the industry.  If you compare their customer service to other sites, you will find they put most others to shame.  Their signature campaign that you docked them for has only been around for 2 months.  They have built a huge customer base without using a signature campaign, but started getting into that recently.

So, you are challenging others to "prove" why they aren't a scam, but haven't presented much showing that they are.  Every single accusation against them for payouts or anything is resolved smoothly and quickly.  Their "template"(That they heavily modified) is also used by the exchange launched by, crap I forget his name, some big celebrity that just launched their own sports betting website.

So in conclusion, you did maybe 5 minutes of research and made a quick post about it.  If you have any evidence or proof of a scam, please present it, otherwise you have nothing and this is coming across as someone as a chip on their shoulder.  Did you lose some money there or something?

Excellent, i got some questions about their legitimacy
1) Do they have a licence?
2) Why are they protection their company information in the whois and even on their website?

@Peeps Place I saw that your alt account made a trust review a while ago just before going offline
"How does this guy not have tons of trust considering what he does for the bitcoin/gambling community? "

Two weeks later he went dark so his published review is a little bit weird. the same kind of weird since you don't answer the above questions.

I prefer some solid information so please respond to the above questions.

Thanks though..

I don't have an alternate account that made a trust review.

It's best that Betcoinsports, or others, answer your questions as I don't want to speak for them. The review thread also has poster's opinions.

One thing that I would like to add is that most pure bitcoin books do not have any type of license. Payout history and longevity are a litmus test for bitcoin books.

It's different than fiat books located in Europe where a license is necessary.

Templates are uses for companies who start (see my OP) not my companies who exist... 2.5 years.

I can make another thread if you like. Legendary selling it's rep for 51 usd?

There are ways to figure out if they have a license without throwing threads around.  I personally don't know if they do, if I remember correctly, they didn't need one where they operated out of, but that's something you can easily send in a support request for.  Then you can have something to go on, but you may want to extend your sleuthing abilities to the other bitcoin gambling sites as well, because I guarantee that not a single one will have the type of license your looking for.

My signature says nothing.  They offered to pay me to put an advertisement in my signature.  I have played there for years and have never had an issue and decided to let them.  If you looked back, you would see that I have been in over 10 different signature campaigns for all manner of sites.  So I am no fanboy, I am simply a satisfied customer who will defend a site who has done nothing to open up accusations.  Had you opened this thread against Primedice or any other site, I would still be posting in opposition because you haven't really done any work in your investigation.  It seems like you have some reason why you are attacking Betcoin since I find it weird that you just happened to choose them first when there are literally TONS of other sites that show much clearer red flags that you could be going after.

Just posting my concer here regarding this

Bitcoin gambling is around black and white so most dont have license but that does not mean they are not honest or will scam you. They are gambling sites so they will win without having to scam thats a fact of this. Most operator hides behind anonimous registration like this because of legal issue

It's a common practice to hide your registration details behind a shield at any registrar company and using strange domain names like .ag means nothing because the site is not located in Antigua and Barbuda. Also is there even any institution that issues Bitcoin casino licenses?

How is this common? Every bitcoin related company who has a whois protect will get any questions, but betcoin being a gambling company, not?
You do understand that gambling sites run a way with users funds too right?

Of course it is not all right. But at the same time do you have personal information and adresses of every other Bitcoin Casino Owner out there? I guess not.
In some countries online casinos are forbidden (USA, Australia) and operators either will deny users access to the site or hide behind a wall of fake registrations and sketchy laws.

Well there are laws which are there for users protection.

So is it ok that companies can hide behind fake information?
Hell on.

Should we warn people about this shady companies?

Cmon guys, you can't be serious. Almost all of BTC companies either have registration on a off-shore zone or doesn't have it at all.
CS guys are almost 100% outsources with just a few papers Q/A. They doesn't have any real data in front of them.

And in BTC world everyone could fill a scam accusation which could burn a site in less than a 24 hours. So All of this data is unimportant. Till they are paying properly.

They [...] have done nothing short of showing the highest quality customer service in the industry.  If you compare their customer service to other sites, you will find they put most others to shame.

Till they are paying properly.

Lol really?

So if they run away with all user funds which could be easly around 1000 BTC with 10k users, we have to start make scam accusation threads?
That makes no sense at all.

If you are legit about your business, why whould you hide anything? Correct you would not hide any information.

If you're a scammer or have wrong intentions you hide that info..

For this reason it is mandatory to register your company in every respectable country.

What i wanna say is that many sites with btc payment are not operating with license, like satoshidice, satoshibet(shut down now), bitcoinvideocasino, primedice, and many other dice sites. Buying a license costs much so i think that's why they don't have it, just save money

Well that isn't a good reason right? You have to agree fees shouldn't be the main reason to not buy a license if it is mandatory?
Reading this threads make me wonder if any of the gambling sites here hold a license at all...

Registration in "every respected country" does NOT guarantee you absolutely nothing. There is a long list of licensed/registered bookies which run away with a lot more than 1000BTC (in fiat). And wasn't MT-Gox registered in a respected country??

More important is for sites to pat because their reputation here could burn in less than 24 hours. Look recent case: master-p. He was flamed in red even before writing something against.

Exchanges and gambling sites need to be maintained by trusted companies. Showing that you are hiding information is just a bad way to start earning trust.
Having read this i would never use betcoin.ag, not even for a satoshi. The same goes for the other anonymous, potential, scam casino's

Looking forward to OP's further research on which bitcoin gambling/dice/sportsbooks are licensed and which are not licensed. I think I read somehwere that bitcasino.io actually has a license.

Should be very interesting, indeed.

Keep us posted, OP.

No Bitcoin Sportsbook has a sportsbook license and there are a lot of books. It would be nice if they all had licenses and held our money in escrow but unfortunately, that's not the case. Bitcoin books and players like to keep anonymous.

Here's a list of all the sportsbooks. If some are missing, please post about them. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=717790.0 Thanks

Top books are processing withdrawals within 15 minutes. Exemptions are given to books with poker rooms. There is also some leeway with an account that gets redflagged or a large withdrawal. Post if withdrawals are taking longer than 15 minutes. Thanks again.

Betcoin.ag is a decent operation and if they are related to WPN or not is not relevant.
In any case the players can play and can cashout, have support and someone to talk to, it should be enough.

BTW - what about all other .ag brands ?

There is no such thing as the "World Poker Network".  You clearly haven't done any research on them if you don't even know what network they are on.

This was addressed on page 1 of this thread. We don't do any research on poker rooms or casinos attached to sportsbooks. It was a mistake to even mention the poker room.

It's considered a separate entity to us and they aren't mentioned in the reviews other than having a check mark in the grid containing the different features and markets of each sportsbook.

I apologize for the post.

I don't see how this is sufficient. That's not enough for me. Companies need to earn trust to get more consumers. Having them hiding out behind some firewalls, hiding whois information.
is not the way to earn trust.

It's a way to earn distrust and this is exactly what OP is bringing to the surface.

There sound come some more information about these .ag but also other gambling sites.
It's fair to risky having to count on the owners or developers of the site to remain truthfull.

Well this is just the start of the problem.
First there is 1 user, then there are 10 an eventually there are hundreds and they have run away.

Being so shady to hide their company details means can just get away with this scam/theft.

That's a guess, you don't know this for sure.

But ontopic
I think it's a wrong tendency that so many companies are just hiding their identity and people have to rely on their honestly.

Very good that this is being discussed.

Being anonymous has nothing wrong, which is supposed to be the mean of using bitcoin. As long as it wouldn't plan to scam others, keep paying out, operate fair platform etc. Users will trust them.

Why not ask your friends come here to present him betcoin account to Peeps Place to check? Otherwise this comment is meaningless to help resolve the issue.

Is this a joke?
