It's about people's beliefs so you can't judge their choices. They hope Bitcoin can grow to 3400$, it's not about reality, it's just a wish. Besides that you can't know when Bitcoin hits 3400$. When you ask in January, nobody was expecting 1200$ in November 2013.

Everyone are free to predict. Up to you if you will upset and in this forum there are lots of people like that so just deal with it.

But what if that fantasy will become true and there are clear factors that it will happen. You everything is unpredictable.

Realistic or not, everyone's like that "fanstasy" thing honestly.

I do think that bitcoin is able to reach between $800 - $1200 this year. But I don't think that bitcoin will end the year like that.
I believe that we should all be happy if bitcoin closes the year on a solid $700 - $800

Yes. just any supporting good news will make bitcoin to any new height. We cannot find any logic behind that.
Not only supply and demand fix the prices of any commodity, the speculation and emotions also play a big role in deciding prices.
Once bitcoin turned as a reliable alternate investment, then surely we can see bitcoin in moon.

As you say to hit moon, bitcoin may take some decades. But for 2017 January I would speculate it would go around some $5000 levels. Because 10 times growth is highly possible from current levels.

But I am not that kind of person who puts the price too high like $3000 or $4000 or $10000 levels.
I want to be optimistic but certainly not to be 'over optimistic'. I think we will be able to see the rise might touch $800 till the this year end.

For me anything over 750 USD this year is not realistic, thus i ignore it. You should do the same.

My vote went to $1001-$1100 which seams reasonably fair and also realistic. The price might reach a new ATH in 2016 but things will cool down and cause the price to make a dive. After that, a recovery will happen at the end of 2016 and thus at January 1st it will be MAX $1100.

yes price will be up to 1000$, even halving won't change price to 2k or even 3k,  i even don't think that we will see 1k ant end of 2016, price probably will be 750$ or less, because now price is not very huge, we won't see huge price after halving too

I think the price of Bitcoin can be seen around the tag of $500 to $600 by the starting of the year 2017. This is just a prediction which can be made false by the technology of bitcoin.
