Forgive the redundancy, but I'd rather not read 250 pages to find these answers. If anyone would care to spoon feed me, it'd be much appreciated.

- Can I mine directly from the wallet? (a la' CryptoNote)
- Is it feasible to solo mine or is it a waste of time?

Yes you can but you should have a new CPU. Leave it on all the time also.

Looking for HOdl pool instructions

I used to mine on suprnova.cc (can't remember what coin or if I stayed mining there very long) and I can still log in, but I can't reset my pin. My attempts for support never get reply's from the pool operators. Mining solo isn't working.

I suppose I will need to boot a Linux box and get programming. I have setup masternodes for other coins in the past. I expect it will take some messing about but I should be able to get a HOdl pool working. I am looking for any instructions on how to start a HOdl pool. If anyone has this information please reply or message me.

1. We are not affiliated with suprnova, I guess you have to wait for them to answer you or make a new account
2. If you want, join the discord server and we will help you setting up the solo mining.
3. Anyone that has an HOdlcoin pool, made it by himself from scratch, there is no online guide or code for that.

really frustrated with Discord, it just sucks.  hardly ever loads correctly, most times not at all.  I'm not sure why we went away from slack which worked all the time ever time.

We have over 300 members in the discord server and no one complained.
Try to use the desktop version if you have problems with the web one

Nobody can give you a guarantee what will happen with this (or other) coin in the next few years. Last year hodlcoin fall asleep a little bit. But a few month later some guys wake it up and they have many ideas for the future. Also the maintainer is active again. So in my opinion the best way is to term deposit the coins and hope value will grow in the future. Cool

You can simply log in and click on "edit account", then on "reset pin" and you have a new pin in your inbox.

or.. you can simply register a new account

I would donate some, but haven't been able to get into my wallet Sad

What's wrong with it?

The password no longer works.
I can still access my other wallet, but it only has 150 Hodl.  My main one has over 230k.

If the password no longer works then most likely you forgot it.
That's a problemo :/

Have both passwords written down.  Had no problems for the first 6 months.
Then had issues with Hodl not wanting to mine, so left it for a while.
When I went back to check and also deposit matured coins, it would not accept password.

Start mining here to get an idea. http://hodl.optiminer.pl/
It might be less expensive to buy at the current price of $0.007573 with $100 you get something near 13200 of course it's risky at best. That $100 could buy a nice dinner for two out on the town.
