When you leave open wallet you help other people to quickly download blockchain. You can leave wallet open but just use password for wallet.

Your wallet will make max 8 connections to the network. You need to have port 1989 open if you want allow other users to connect your node. Here https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ you can check if port 1989 is open. From debug window (Help->Debug window) you see if you have incoming connections.

Oh... I checked and it seems to be closed.

Hmm. Actually am currently only online when I'm home since I run my laptop through Wifi-hotspot provided by my phone.
If, or when I get a fixed in-house connection up and running I will maybe look into forwarding that port.

I just saw 8 connections and thought that the network might need assistance, which then doesn't seem to be the case as of right now.

That means I have about 100 or so coins currently up in the air without me being able to use the wallet functions such as the HODL, and I'd really like to be able to HODL everything I get...

There was a developer wiling to take over this wreck of a coin he showed up here ready to work only to be greeted by absolute silence and then a visit from the lost squirrel. The squirrel has not abandoned, he just hodls us all in perpetuity. for his pleasure, refusing to do any work or say anything. I guess this is his sick little game. Im long tired of waiting for him. If i had my way the fucking squirrel would be gone. Fish

There is an user called Tecra who has been asking how to enable AES-NI and AVX2 optimization for wallet mining. I have tried to answer that question but Tecra has quit #hodlcoin before I wrote a reply.

Or locate and create if needed hodlcoin.conf (default location C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\HOdlcoin ) and add lines
optimineraes=1
optimineravx2=1

In debug.log there should be lines like

HaHa.. coin which seems to be invented as the coin suits bad traders needs has become worst investment ever.
There is only one positive thing in this case:
Do not invest in coins without real usage
and other:
The best coin to just hodl is BITCOIN.

Deposit\\Withdrawal coin will be available after you upgrade the source code of the wallet.
- therefore, in order to avoid the loss of users, the network is not available.
If you have updated the source code of the coin, send us (https://yobit.net/en/maintenance_request/ Free)and we will promptly correct the problem on the coin.
