They were mined back in 2016.  Dumb amateur mistake on my part.  All of the coins are/were in a 2.0 wallet

Thanks

Hi Guys

I have been HODL'ing my HODL for awhile and recently emptied an old desktop wallet I had to coinexchange.io

I am thinking I made an amateur mistake and was running an old version of the wallet and it appears as tho my coins are totally MIA.
Wallet i currently have is HOdlcoin Core version v2.0.0 (64-bit)
it looks like i should have been running vs 3.0.1

I am guessing my coins are totally lost but figured I would check to see if anybody has thoughts on how to recover the coins.

Thanks in advance.

When did you mine those coins? How much of those coins you have in wallet 3.0.1? Upgrade from 2.0 to 3.0 happened at block height 257000.

I cannot find that transaction ID. What is your source address?

from facebook:

"We did not expect such a sudden increase of users/connections so we'll be getting a new website out sooner than expected. The site will have up to date tutorials and downloads for new and existing hodlers. We'll be going for progress, not perfection as we try to make somewhat regular progress. A more thorough update will given later today or tomorrow when we have a more accurate picture of what's going on. In the mean time, everyone can help out by helping us grow and revive the community.
Thanks"

I think this is a problem for new users. When I searched for an exchange for hodl in the past I also find yobit and was wundering about the different price. Then I read in the forum that I don't have to use yobit. But not everybody is looking here in the details before buying. Where is the problem for yobit to update the wallet or delete the coin?

BUT...  I can't find my address on HODLcoin (Block Explorer) http://www.fuzzbawls.pw/explore/HOdlcoin/index.php

Also missing from the Rich List too. Cool

Do anyone has a similar experience...

The block explorer you mentioned is not working at the moment. So I don't know if this is the reason for your problem. You can try this one which was posted in telegram group: http://hodl.amit177.cf:1781/

Just making sure everyone knows, suprnova's pool will be closed on the 31/12/2017. (2-3 days)
Move your miners to a different pool or solomine. (as well as don't forget to withdraw your coins)

I have connection problems and I get a lot of "Stratum requested work restart" messages. I was hahsing ~500 h/s but the pools showed an average of 130 - 300 h/s.

There are two persons trying to set up MPOS pool but they have problems with stratum and hodl algo.

Is there (even slow) GPU miner?

The idea is to use GPU and ASIC resistant algo so hashing power stays well distributed.

[Block Explorer Updates]
1. Added network stats, right now there are 2 graphs, one of the difficulty, and one for the hash speed.
2. Addresses can now be "signed", msg me to sign it.
3. The block explorer was updated on coinmarketcap.com

- If you have any knowledge about coding/the hodl algorithm, please write it in here or join the server and help
