How do you keep the mining fair between each different Algos? i mean is there a factor involved that adjust the difficulty between each different Algo?
e.g. if i was mining using NIST5 would i find a block quicker than if i was using X15? as there are 3x more rounds of hashing involved...

Some thoughts.

Why Joincoin: because it's a stable coin with strong POW and tor anonymity. Is that enough to make it worth existing? Probably, but in the long term we must develop something to make it interesting and not just another coin. Or, we can simply keep it going like a wealth storage, but in this case the block reward must lower with time (no sense to invest in a coin which is surely going down because of long term inflation).

What I can do: I've been in coin development for a while, even though I have never been a major developer of any coin. I just do not have enough free time. But I can implement minor changes or bugfixes to the wallet, for example.

Other developments: additional wallets like android/ios/electrum is the usual additions many coins do. See Groestlcoin for example. I think they outsourced the work: we may consider something similar.

Finally I would stay away from POS unless we can find a competent dev with long term commitment (very hard).

The main problem in getting android/ios/electrum wallets is that it would not be an easy task for this kind of Multi-Algo POW crypto; therefore, it would be hard, even to outsource the tasks, if not impossible, unless it has been done relatively quite routinely by any other cryptos.

I could eventually make it automatic: if it finds the port already bound, try to use it, instead of exiting.

i am trying to setup a pool for J, and starting with keccak algo, but any blocks i find say invalid and rejected by daemon, ive tried resynching several times, creating new wallet, and all sorts of things.... some other coins are fine just having this issue with JoinCoin, latest error says merkleroot invalid any suggestions ?

I think we are ok even with just bittrex as an exchange, it worked pretty fine for many months, but we need other pools: of all the algos supported by the coin, about half of them have no working pool.

Workforce is there, now we need a roadmap: what developments, what marketing campaigns, etc.
I think we are ok even with just bittrex as an exchange, it worked pretty fine for many months, but we need other pools: of all the algos supported by the coin, about half of them have no working pool.

the great thing about the yiimp ( originally yaamp - before he released it opensource ) is that it is a multipool that is reasonable efficient ...

the draw back to this pool - and it seems its the ONLY drawback that i can see - is that it is a 'mining' pool ...

this essentially means that the miners on the pool work as a collaborative mining system for the different coins supported on the pool ... this in turn means that if you mine directly FOR a coin ( using c=j for example ) - and the pool itself does not have the collaborative mining effort FOR joincoin - then the payout of the coin will be delayed due to 'not enough coins to payout' - and the payout will be delayed until the coin is mined some more ...

for low volume coins - this could mean a few hours to a few days before the payout is given ...

unlike mpos pools for example ( NOT multipool like zpool is ) - a single coin is mined and accumulated - and if it has confirmed - can be paid out at the miners behest ...

there are pros and cons for all forms of pools - so im not debating which is better or worse ... but i am mentioning this - as i have been in situations many times before where i have had to wait many days for payment on low mined coins ...

btw - zpool is one of the main pools 'thefarm' mines at - and since it will be fully functional again in the coming weeks - will be one of the pool we will frequent ... always a pleasure crackers ...

i have both - but more interested in centos 7 x64 ( or moreover - redhat based rhel systems ) ...

nomp / unomp just refuses to work properly - as most of the base instructions / information are for ubuntu / debian ...

so share if you will please mate ... here or in private for a deal to be made if necessary ...

mind you - still want to get the python stratum running - so id be very interested in knowing how - or even an uptodate custom version being built ...

they are the same codebase - just epsylon3 has just switched off the 'exchange' backend ...

and he is also the one that is currently the main developer for this code - which is based on the original yaamp code that he forked ...

he uses it more as his testbed for algos for his fork of ccminer-tpruvot - and for mining the more involved things he has ( like decred ) ...

and as a large wallet also - its fantastic for that ...

Yes, I think it should be forked with an ever decreasing reward (1, 0.5, 0.25, etc).

Unfortunately since the coin is barely used, there are no transaction fees so mining is pointless and the total supply is very low anyway.

Consider this as once for all  and a long term fix; avoiding constant algo changes like what the Myriad coin does; we cannot afford that; And in the end, it does not really matter if for example such as the difficulty level ratios between different algos being not exactly right, because miners come and go based on the difficulty level and adjust to that.

Lastly, with so many great mining pools and  supports, it's not a problem to drastically increase block time to say 777 second (and this would be the nickname of this coin) and block rewards can start at 16 (based on less daily block counts to about 1/17) , as long as the network would be able to handle the future needs. I think you are talking about the block time.

It is true that a shorter block time make confirmations of transactions faster and more appealing.

The Joincoin has around 0.3 GB total blockchain files at this moment. It will very soon reach 1 GB if the blockchain advances at it maximal pace. During the life time of this coin, it has not reached the maximal blocks/day- mostly within 350-1500 blocks/day.

Most very-short-block-time altcons went through pump-dump-die, not having to face such issues.

It is still possible to leave the present block time of 45 seconds, leaving the need for solutions, say, 3-5 years down the road, when the next generations of faster CPU chips/computers might be out to prevent these issues. Or simply fork to a new coins with old wallet balances. The Bitcoin has a 500-second block time; it has a slightly larger total blockchain files size after around 9 year (since Jan 2008.)

I am fine with this- to leave alone the present block time of 45 seconds.  

What about the halving time of block chain rewards? I think it should be longer one, again 777 days or 999 days is good.  ("888 coin" is already taken.)

Why? The main uniquie feature of this coin is that it has 13 different mining alghorithms. Remove that and it's just another coin.

But there's no reason not to also add PoS into the mix but it would take a lot of time and effort to develop.

I think we should just fork it only changing the blockreward because that could be done quickly and painlessly.

If we start wanting to add a bunch of features this coin will be long forgotten by the time the fork is ready with the features.

As long as mining activities continue to grow, the Joincoin network will stay strong without the possible benefits of adding POS. All those have been discussed since last year.

One thing I am afraid of is that whatever the remaining original seed nodes, if any, might not fork along to the new wallets but most likely it does not matter.

Secondary, We would need to start a new website. The Joincoin.com has been taken. Our previous Joincoin.org site has been down. I will set one up (Joincoinz.com) within a week. It would be mainly for users and promotions, as mobile friendly as possible.

The other things are adding wallet features, including such as promotional games. It might directly or indirectly help to attract new users and values and more miner supports. Does anyone know if opening a wallet to play game(s) without mining helps the network? In any circumstances, we would need a webwallet system for mobile users and promotions. Wallet features, if desirable, might just stay with webwallets or even independent apps. If integration with the regular wallet is a great idea and affordable, we can always keep a light (original) version and a media (enhanced) version.

Did anyone notice that an address imported from the other one to a new wallet is not working?

The commands dumprivkey -> importprivkey are working well and the imported address showed up in the table through the "Receive" tab.

The problem is that the expected transactions/balance carried with the imported address do not show up, even after I restarted the wallet client twice. I have a lot of experience in using these processes with the other cryptos.

I would be a problem itself and very bad for future paper wallet or webwallet ( during the down time) users.

this wallet doesn't rescan itself on each importprivkey command,
only adding the key to the pool, personally i like that behavior

The only major thing we need to really focus on is to have Bittrex update the wallet client for the fork. Other than confirming legitimacy and checking the software, the rest is only to sync the new wallet, all these can be done in few days. I think one month is more than enough, and even  2 weeks should not be a problem and can be justified, considering the urgency of rescuing the Joincoin Network.

Now we are at block 628285, It would be feasible to set the mining to start @ 630000, ( likely taking 14-16 days to reach based on average daily total block counts of about 100 per block per day), if we can get it ready in a couple of days; otherwise, adding another 500-1000 block might be needed, but this can hit right at the Christmas time, not necessary a problem.

In the worst case scenarios, as long as the user is not mining, the old wallet will likely still work.

The talk has been going on for 2 weeks; it should not be a problem for miners following on this thread.

The other sites are only services which can be notified (by anyone and certainly I can do that and you can leave it to me), probably all at once with the same messages, i.e., A fork with Github links and ( taking advantage of the notice by adding) new infos (such as website which I will make one before the end of the month.)

Bitnodes have all 3 Joincoin node (as green) being up or seemingly running (if I am not wrong) and the only problem is that no one respond to any request. It still show expiration date of May/2016 although it was paid to extend service for another year, with an upgrade. I have the imagination that it seems to be running and could possibly update to the new fork as requested if I give it a trial.

Actually, I can give it a try for both 32 bit & 64 bit, Thinking that actually it is only a file to make.
(It is also a good idea to get Mac binaries. I do not have mac computers. )

I tried to make one with windows a couple of years ago with another crypto a miner software. With folders and files, I ended up missing some .cLL ? files, and could not make that one work and gave up.

Due to lack of mining with a fork coming, everything slows down except the price.

Now we are facing a delisting again, 2nd one within 2 months. The Joincoin faced such warning about 20x in lifetime.

What makes Bittrex not so conscientious is that, in addition to promoting certain cryptos by receiving a hefty fee for such services, now it is asking the long-term listed cryptos to markedly increased required (at least) 0.2 BTC/day x 7 day to 0.5 BTC/day x 14 days while the BTC price increased 2-3 times during the past year.

Anyway, I am looking into promotions initially with a webwallet and see what I can do, at least something quite concrete by Jan 1,2017.

Once Joincoin's fork is ready, we should considering getting listed on a few exchanges. One of the best choice is Cryptopia which has market place, Lotto games and Mineshaft. (The Minshaft is great but not practical, costing 0.3 BTC per year to be listed for each of 13 algo's.)

Lotto is useful for attracting users to the exchange and other users in the exchange. (This one I can use in the campaigns to attract users from other language threads and regions. More to come.)

The caveat: The past attempt to get Joincoin listed for voting was screened out, due to the fact of 50% (>10%) premine, despite the fact the original dev has taken AWOL, and up to  23.8% of then Joincoin total supply have been donated to the faucet site. ( It was 0.39 million Joincoin for the present Total coin supply of 2.8 millions.)

There is no longer a voting system there but the problems in getting acceptance could be the same.

It was a weird and unexpected pump. J is not a coin that gets pumped but if I had to guess the news around the fork attracted a p&d group or a whale. I didn't follow the distribution tab on bittrex to be sure. And I missed the pump.

Hi,

There is no confusion here; these are coordinated team works. Everybody uses own precious spare time to get things done. This coin with multi-algo mining has quite variable total daily blocks which probably would not reach the maximal till the coming 1-6 months. It ended when the (probably wrongly) reported total coin supply did not get close to the expected 2.8 million Joincoin.

In short, the mining was completed at the expected block count, but the network activity cannot be maintained without restarting at next halving of 1 Joincoin/block. More than one year ago, a switch to POS or POW+POS mining was promoted, but in the end, continuing present POW mining (with bug fixes now implemented by pallas )  is the consensus and  least problematic. This helps with going through this short-term hardship in staying quite viable such as being in the exchange.

Bittrex should disable their J wallet until they upgrade. I've sent a PM to Richie but I'm not sure he'll respond.

It's on the last page. It increases the block reward from 0 J to 1 J (after a period of 2 J per block) as otherwise nobody would mine it.

There's no reason for them to remove it so I guess it will just take a while.

Doesn't really matter that much as they disabled it just before we sailed smoothly beyond the fork block. So no wrong fork, not lost transactions, etc, we just have to wait a bit longer.

first, you should count blocks from all 6 algos of J on zpool.
and you'r write, solo is not fantastic, but zpool IS running J, because different engine, different calculations apply. just that.
same goes to POS, makes things even more complex, should be adjusted very carefully but greed usually gets in the way lol

Yes I have and there are plenty of veteran miners, myself included, who know Zpool skims. They 'mysteriously' lose 20-30% of your earnings. I haven't mined J on Zpool, I have mined other algos, but thanks for telling me what I'm doing and not looking at.

Keccak is a highly inefficient algo. If u mine MAX, be prepared for this. This is the most likely to happen when ure away from ur PC.

This market will be delisted on May 12th, 2017 due to lack of user interest.

Despite being much cooled down after a recent gigantic pump by someone, the trading has been +/- 1 BTC on average daily.

It is hard to understand why the Bittrex, without warning and while the trading is still relatively hot and there is no reassurance that it won't be hotter in the near future, it decides to simply delist Joincoin???

Certainly it is no comparison to the top ten volume on the list but Joincoin at least showed on the top trading volume list at Bittrex once within the past month.

Can we do something?

nova is next to a joke, was it ever on cryptopia ? (i can't recall)

The past request for voting @ Cryptopia, probably about 2 years ago, got rejected due to being against the accepting criteria of "no large premine".

The voting system no longer exists and likely they no longer care about the premine issues any more.

Listing is done by paying 2M DOT (the exchange's coin) which is priced at more than 50 sat, costing more than 1 BTC presently. Now they are focusing on upgrading to deal with exchange loads, putting mining pools in maintenance mode (; not a problem for Joincoin which does not need additional mining pools there and it is impossible to purchase mining pools for each algo.)

When the time is right and the price is right, getting listed at Cryptopia is a good choice due to its Market place which any one can use. Actually, I believe that if getting listed there, people would notice and may find ways to get to mining pools Joincoin miners are using.

Yes that is possible, I've seen that on other exchanges, and it behaves differently than those orders on cryptopia.
Anyways, there is no way to measure trust of an exchange: if you trust cryptopia more than for example novaexchange, you may have your reasons for that.
I have mine and from my experience I prefer nova over cryptopia by a wide margin. It's not just those fake orders. While on nova they got hacked and I recovered all my coins in a matter of hours.
People will make their own choises.

Yes that is possible, I've seen that on other exchanges, and it behaves differently than those orders on cryptopia.
Anyways, there is no way to measure trust of an exchange: if you trust cryptopia more than for example novaexchange, you may have your reasons for that.
I have mine and from my experience I prefer nova over cryptopia by a wide margin. It's not just those fake orders. While on nova they got hacked and I recovered all my coins in a matter of hours.
People will make their own choises.

Ok pallas, you are probably right for you nova is worth..., for me Topia .. just I don't want to spend 1+ BTC just to list the J ..., that will be the same if I just gift 1/10 of my J..., what's the point then ?

Thank you for the info.., IDK about.., some time ago I just decide to sell coins there.., some of them I sold on good price, and I try too to withdraw the BTC.., but it say not enough amount.. (they don't answer me back when I write them what's the minimum amount to withdraw BTC...) but the currency which I trade there I'm able to withdraw and I do w/o problem..
In the other hand you can sell something there and after with the BTC which you got you can buy other currency which you are able to withdraw and sell to other exchange at good price... Yes have to play much to get your BTC, but that's the way which I found to take my money back from there.
And in the future I'll be away from them for sure..., even if I don't have currency which can't trade at other exchange.

It is surprising that this has not happened until now (for the "free-world" and borderless cryptos); not a long time ago, there were conferences about blockchain technologies with big companies joining discussions in China. I do not believe that they started with scammy minds when the company started.

I don't know much about.., but today I just after you told me about DAo.., I try to take out almost all what's there...., it confirm the transactions(the exchange), I put on withdraw BTC from there and J ...., for both of them I still waiting (second day now), and they are with status: Unconfirm ...

hmmm, for me it work with out any issue.., do you put the nodes in the conf file ? and what if you try to clean your J blockchain folder ( I mean try to remove the peers.dat, and all the .log files from the folder (stop the wallet before that), there to be the conf. file, the wallet.dat, and the folder with the blockchain) So leave in the folder only: (FOLDERS):"blocks", "chainstate", "onion" and "tor" ; (FILES): "joincoin.conf" and "wallet.dat" . Also remove everything else from there

I know, some of them have issues with the connections to the exchanges now..., but really I don't know what they do at DAO....
I try to take out some BTC from there before some got BAN from the government..., but w/o luck.
The withdraw function on the server for BTC was "blocked" or something, and was unable to withdraw.., week + ago when I try they do withdraw.., but it's still pending"/not confirmed

What else you can do, is to copy only the wallet.dat 1st
After you have your wallet.dat, remove all about the J which you have on your computer, the wallet (exe), all the folder.
Remove and the J folder from the Roaming folder on your computer (like I say get wallet.dat back up, if you have J coins there), because in the "Joincoin" in roaming folder: C:\Users\your_PC_user_name\AppData\Roaming\Joincoin is the wallet.dat
re download the wallet from the server (you can find there: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1318397.0 )

Run the wallet again, and after it sync with the network (I hope it will be able to..., if no, just create new joincoin.conf ), stop the wallet, if you send/ship/mine coins to the wallet, remove the new wallet.dat file from the roaming folder and paste there your old wallet.dat .
If your wallet.dat it's working fine after you run the wallet, you will see there your coins

I suspect that it could be due to bloated blockchain files and possible data-leak issues when a crypto gets old. I have similar problem of having a Joincoin wallet client which stopped syncing a month ago, while running at least for a week on Windown 7 x64. I rerun it without success. I have to temporary move the the wallet file to another computer (on Vista x86) without a glitch. I have yet to test the above methods when I get enough time.

Considering that Joincoin has been about 3 years old with block time of 45 seconds and actual block time of 140 seconds over the past 500 blocks (over 20 hours), the Joincoin blockchain files size is increasing at least 4x  vs bitcoin (which has a block time of greater than 9 minutes at present.)

In order to keep Joincoin running smoothly, we might need to consider a swap to a new coin with pretty much the same algos (with new difficulty adjustments ?) and everything else, except for relatively mild but important modifications to keep Joincoin functioning well in the coming years.

The relatively small amounts of unclaimed Joincoin balance should be kept and allowed to dispense only to a new faucet address (which would be the basis of a upcoming (non-mining) mobile (and mobile only) Apps for both Apple and Android phones, with free games and direct payouts in (hybrid) either Joincoins or CoinoCoins.

Due to limited amount of available faucet balances (which depends on the donations presently mostly by me), a "halving"-like concept has to be programmed and to run automatically, regardless how fast and how many persons sign up for the games. To stay attractive, either faucet balances and payouts have to increase or the Joincoin price has to rise; otherwise, the program will die out very soon. In any circumstance, the calculated average daily payout has to be similar or better than the present Joincoin faucet @Cryptoguru site of 0.02J x0.0025=0.05 cents or up to 1 cent daily, whichever is higher to kept people stay engaged in using the Apps and adopting the promoted coins in general. With this increased "User interests", getting relisted at Bittrex or other bigger exchange sites could become a reality.

The Faucets at Tradesatochi are back. The old Joincoin faucet balance is gone. I will contact the admin and restart a faucet in one month. In the meanwhile, please help to (free-) vote in Coino CNO to be listed there, now the 4th one the list, likely will be listed there within one month. The faucets there have protections against dripping from faucets by a different user/account using the same desktop (or smartphone?)

You are right; none of them are. I thought that the "DAO" was translation of Taoist (道/dao) meaning the "way/path". Certainly, they could be just employees. The trading screens look similar to what I saw in some of the chinese exchanges. In anyway, a credit crunch of some sorts could be very detrimental to an exchange running loan operations.

Thank you Dude.., but to me they don't sound like chinese ppl..., and all what I read and see about Cryptodao... it's a Asian exchange ...
I know, some of them have issues with the connections to the exchanges now..., but really I don't know what they do at DAO....
I try to take out some BTC from there before some got BAN from the government..., but w/o luck.

Ok Dude, so what you can advice me about my problem with them? There are over 3K J coins which I ship...., and over 1K I sold there 2-3 months ago..., just some one post DAO here in the threads and I do the registration, ship some of my to DAO, some to TradeSatoshi (the last one work w/o any issue to me), ship to NOVA..., I'm selling a small amounts on them because I prefer to hold most of the coins which I mine and keep mining. Over 10K still in the wallet, so just want to get my J back from DAO and to go forward..., this don't give me peace at the moment, can't take my BTC from there, can't take my J...., can't find some one to respond me back, here at BCT no one say/give solution ...
If you can give me adv. I'm listen you.
Otherwise the wallet work w/o any issues like I confirm  already and no problems there xD

Check the OP Dude, there was a web site..., no that much info on it..., but if you read the 1st few pages you probably can get enough info about.
BTW the J is going welll..., in the last few months a bit slow..., but like I see it's ok, you can mine it which ever algo (11 algos) you want and there are few exchange which you can use for buy/sell...
just in case.., don't use cryptodao..., it's a SCAM exchange.....

I still can't figure out how to use that reflextrader, cointopay(look like they are connected together), something don't show me the trades there.., no sell no buy trades, only when I click on the wallet, and scroll down there the system show me some trades, but that's it.., nothing in the history, just some buy/sell listings, which I can't reach (when click on some one there, nothing happened), but like I say, on the mayn page for trading nothing.

Hi,

The ReflexTrader (@Cointopay) presently only shows The pairs of Altcoin-BTC for the the Altcoin which you have a positive balance. Basically, it is a merchant account where you have to set a coin of preference one at a time. It is still possible you can have such a different preference set at a different time, making a deposit of that particular coin. Having different coins with positive balances probably allows you to open a trading pair to trade for each coin. So far altcoin1-altcon2 pair can not be created. If my memory is right, you will need to pay a small fee to maintain an account (and probably a permanent account.)

From those functionalities, any body can operate the autonomy mode for sell/payment or a trading pair at own website/server (not just the market place in places such as certain crypto exchanges.)

I have yet to test the system more fully and may try to convince them to open a class of (non-merchant) users to trade through the systems.

I still like the good old days of working well on mining directly from multiple pc's. This degree of ease is needed for the coming promotion to incentivize smartphone app users to be reward for engaging in PC mining activities from time to times. The more app users the less need for any users to do wallet mining as frequently and be rewarded.

In this respect, the late stage of mining (after 3 years), the block reward should be minimal and only having a token value, and acting only as the basis for rewards (not from the mining activity itself). This implies that halving of rewards should be much faster than coin price increase and the block reward would be close to only the transaction charge by the node which should be quite low, not the $10-20 by BTC.  Otherwise, multi-algo or not, any significant increase in block reward value would cause mining to concentrate on a few high-power miners, happening to BTC, and making Joincoin pc-mining impossible.

The present around 10% annual increase of Joincoin market cap from mining is more than twice of the 4.6 % annual increase in BTC. The Joincoin has to be 2x or more attractive than BTC, at least in the short-term, in order to appreciate more than BTC.

These two factors are the stumbling blocks to attract regular coin users (and some of them would become pc-miners and network supports) and gain price supports.

In short, re-introduction of halving of mining reward should be necessary.

I think transaction fees as a sole reward for PoW do not work outside of the top 10 or so cryptos by market cap. In fact, if you were to reduce the reward of Joincoin's blocks, people would mine it even less as it is, making it completely vulnerable. This is the main reason it had a fork increasing the block reward to 1.

So what PoW coin devs should really thrive to do, is to make small coins as attractive to miners as possible to avoid being exploited.

A well planned block reward scheme could work though, (like 0.5 J, then 0.25J, then 0.125J and so on, continuing sort of like the inital idea of the coin) but transaction fees as pure rewards do not work for coins this size and popularity.

So I use to mine this coin 2 years ago as experiment with my PC, now because I got a few PCs always on I was thinking to mine again but the coin seems to be down, any chance to work again in the future ?

as of right now it might be a long time, its not working for us lower folks but its working for Vitalik_Pedik and the higher end pc users because of a bug he found so we have to wait for a patch.

Any one signs up to the incentivized rewards by doing such as mPoW mining (to own wallet and wallet "index" address to prove that he/she contributed to mining and maintaining the network activity and to get rewards sent to the index address to avoid borrowing from someone else's mining activities. Only a quota of a few millions are allowed to sign up this kind of incentivized rewards (because these reward-related transaction activities alone would use up all your network power.)

The PoW_wallet_mining gives a user extra reward (Rw) for mining 1 to K blocks for past (say "Index Period" of) 1-4 months; however, the exact reward would be only Rw/K by penalizing having more than one block during the Index Period. Any miner is expected to only mine one block and get lost and come back a few months later to mine another block. Because of the apps being based on "one smartphone-one account", it is less likely to be abused.

The best part of the app is to make every user run his/her campaign, promoting corresponding cryptos in the market place or even charity for self. Every one and his/her activity is decentralized and himself/hersef is enpowered. There is no "Governors of banks or masternodes" to decide what you should do.

There is not a single crypto that can do it this way yet. Also my coming app, ready in one moth, is only related to Coino (CNO) and Joincoin (J) at present. Only a user doing Joincoin-wallet-mining with Bastion-algo will be counted at present.

BallonaFie (Bona Fide Fee) is Migrating to a new server and taking care of minor app glitches as well as steamlining payout. There are some inevitable delays but App should be pre-launched and tested in one month and a limited (-because this app is a campaign app by itself) public campaign should start 2-4 weeks thereafter.

Initially, keeping the original Coins is the only choice for either Joincoin and Coin(o) until the time is really right. It has been extremely expensive to buy-in to be listed in some major exchanges. With markedly increased usership and user bases, the picture will change, at least in terms of voting power to be listed in quite a few new exchanges.

Whether we are going to have a brand new coin (Coin_A1) in the futrue or not, only time will tell. The app could also become a platform for "appDrop" (vs airdrop) for users, in case a new coin can be creasted. As a matter of fact, the BalloonaFide(free) app is already an "appDrop" of free Joincoin and Coin(o).

The value of a crypto is in its use; therefore, my work and the related app is to help real uses possible, while the underlying the cryptocoin networks should be maintained as a real crypto being tested live.

One of my idea is to attract CPU-wallet mining which is indirectly promoted through multiplier factors applied to my app to grant J-Points. CPU-wallet mining would work only while in low mining defficulty range.

Unless a developer and update can occur, the status quo can not easily get this Joincoin listed at a new crypto exchange.

Nevertheless, I will still help to maintain J network.

I can't find any. Even chainz block explorer lost all peers about a month back.

joincoin use tor v2 addresses for peers. but tor v2 is deprecated, i think no longer works. if anyone has skills, internal tor code need to upgrade. (and v2 address handle too)

The priority is to get the blockchain/nodes running, because it is used for my crypto loyalty platform
Presently, this can be Circumvented by the app-built-in, alternative cash-payout option.

1) Anyone who can take care of this, please contact me.

2) After that, We can consider making a new coin for a majority of CPU- or mobile- mining   - the only way for everyone to participate in mining a coin. It is not just a thought; it can be part of the platform.

Unless a miracle comes within one month, this coin can no longer continue. All features relating to Joincoin in the BalloonaFide loyalty App will be modified or phased out.

This is not problematic due to available alternative payout(s) even without trading/exchange.

A Joincoin Wallet address can be still created through the built-in generator in the add-wallet address section of the app. This would be the "remnant of Joincoin"
, working as if it is a "CAPTCHA" and is still required to play "Joincoin_Lotto" which would be still the name for this bona fide free lotto and does not appear to
have any issue by using this name.

I'm not sure what you're talking about DOGE, but please do tell us how we can help reaching a solution, be it forking the wallet with an upgraded TOR or ignoring TOR if needed, but we need a working network.

Hi, Let's Peruse a few more days.

Forking to a viable blockchain is the immediate need,
but if possible, a working exchange system should be integrate with it; otherwise, it would be still quite isolated;
therefore, Keeping TOR or not, would depend if it would interfere with other progresses.

On the other hands, We should ignore TOR if this can be done
and it is the best or sure way to keep the network working.

I modified the joincoin code, to remove the internal tor. So now, you can use tor to connect v3 onion address nodes.

Just rebuild the code. Add this to config:

tor=127.0.0.1

After you install the tor, you can run the wallet too.
You can connect to my node with this address: ukvewg7vjip46tir7dedmke6ncvalgrfecewoc6pzc4gcxj3fq7pytid.onion (my last block is: 1430193)

(start wallet with this command line parameter:

Having TOR does put Joincoin a grade different from other Multi-Algo coins.   

I was able to use use Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code. But I have got an error message at the last step when using Cmake to compile the new Joincoin wallet client.
