There is a bug in the code.

I'm working on a fork.

lol, A bug in the code?
Let me guess, the bugs name is Placebo?  Grin
I didn't touch this one for the very simple reason that Placebo was posting more in this thread than anyone else, also in C-cex chat.
Maybe this will serve as a learning experience to people for future coins.

Also Placebo, accusing OC of not caring for his customers, really?? How is the development going on FRDC?
Are we "mooning" yet?

There is a bug in the code.

I'm working on a fork.

lol. Got to love it. A bug. Wow. So placebo spams everyone to mine this (his) coin. Knowing the block will put out 1000 coins each he ramps up his mining while spaming hash rate of XXX.XXX place your bids. Then he dumps all his coins on the market he pumped up. Another Scam brought to you by Placebo. Now you all know why OCminer did no create a pool for his (placebo's) scam coin.

Sorry man, but that doesn't make any sense. Dump when price is nearly zero? That doesn't sound very smart to me. Also, difficulty was very high at that time, so nobody was able to get many blocks for themselves.
If you look at this graph, you will see that mining was only twice as profitable during short amount of time.

If fork will be implemented with 10 coins reward forever, then this coin can recover, of course.

Meanwhile after 200 blocks reward halves to 125 coins

There is a bug in the code.

I'm working on a fork.

I think the problem is in the line:
https://github.com/coin2016/MMXVI/blob/master/src/main.cpp#L1101
Code:
    nSubsidy >>= (nHeight / 600);

Quote
"The result of shifting by a bit count larger than the word's size is undefined behavior in C and C ++."
Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bitwise_operation#Bit_shifts

This is a type of error indefinite, easily avoidable in many ways.

But the damage has already been done, now, the moneysupply shows
nearly 2.5 million coins.

What will happen to all the blocks already mined with reward wrong,
and to the transfers made in the meantime, and coins which have
already been sold for BTC?

What are you smoking? Are you OK?

I smoked a bitcoin waaaay back in 2011, when people could roll it with any kind of rolling paper, before people made really expensive paper that became the only way to roll bitcoins. Suffering from long term effects of smoking it with the old paper, which wasn't at all good for me or anyone who didn't know November 2013 was the time to do it...

Strangest way I've ever explained my bitcoin past.

But seriously. New coin, CPU only, no premine, good amount of rewards - it's my kind of coin  Grin

MMXVI is a no premine/ no ico - pure pow coin. This is a Argon2 algorithm coin.  Block halving every 600 blocks. First 50 blocks are 1 MMXVI (to prevent instamine). The next 550 blocks = 1000 MMXVI.  Halving every 600 blocks till 10 MMXVI per block. Block time 30 sec.

Jobs Opportunities:

1. Designer - To create nice logo's
2. Game Designer - To create games that will use MMXVI
3. PR - Somebody that is responsible for Press Releases and to maintain communication with investors/miners/traders.

How to mine MMXVI most efficiently:

1. Download miner https://www.bitteaser.com/press-releases/?title=argon2-optimized-miner
2. Mine on haspower.co multipool with this config
Code:
cpuminer -a argon2 -o stratum+tcp://hashpower.co:5533 -u YOURMMXVIADDRESS -p c=MMXVI
3. PROFIT!!!

Pool mines the most profitable argon2 coin and converts it to MMXVI. If mining MMXVI directly is most profitable, it will mine MMXVI directly. You can also mine with different algorithm using different miner and port. Ports are listed here http://hashpower.co/#algos
For example, if you want to earn MMXVI by mining on your GPU using NeoScrypt algo, use ccminer and this config
Code:
ccminer-35-50-52.exe -a neoscrypt -o stratum+tcp://hashpower.co:4233 -u MKNr7pT9QZRDY5fqZrgqdMvAmnAiVFeZ96 -p c=MMXVI

Everyone losing faith in this coin, please be a dear and donate to me. I'll give your coins a good home  Tongue

MTpA7za5zhzKC2u4iyr3Z8wcg4vwjTkQtF

I love how 1500 coins can be worth 78 cents today, and 1700 coins can be worth 24 cents a few hours later XD Still mining, still getting a lot of coins. Not selling a single one of them.

Thank you for fast response! Seems hash power is lacking at the moment for the chain to move.
