I think it is both. Money for security and love for emotional things. Happiness definitions differ with different age groups as well as gender. When I was a child my happiness is just an Ice cream and a long play with my friends. When I became a teenager happiness is something shared in a relationship with an opposite sex and my family. When I became an adult my happiness is about success in career and an effort recognized and played. Lastly, as I can see in a senescence period happiness for them is a life well lived

Actually the secret is that there should no be secret. Only thing you need to hide is your happiness. People thinks that some of the things lead them to happiness but that is wrong. You can learn it from religion or trough life. It comes to the same end. You can not run for something (whether it is money, friends, etc.) and excpect to be happy. Happiness is in ourselfes and all of other things comes to us if we use good energy and happiness.
