I am looking to buy several accounts to use them if needed as collateral for loans, in practice I'm investing on digital goods part of my current liquidity.  Without going into too much, I believe that it will be useful for the transparency and security of the forum that those who own multiple accounts makes it public and  provide the names of the same , in order to increase the safety of all users even if these accounts  being sold or transferred as collateral.  I have no objection to doing so, what do you think about? I hope that it can also intervene some admin to feel what is the idea of who is running the forum.

Thank you

Hallo Mexxer. I think if i hold multiple accounts as Digital Good, and i don't want to run a ponzi or a scam, i could post all account held my me with the respective name.

Then, as i say a lot of time I think a good thing is to improve the account profile with historical information about when the User changes his e-mail and his password.

You're welcome to tell everyone which accounts you own but staff aren't going to force people to do so nor should people have to. All that would happen would be honest people needlessly expose themselves while dishonest people would go to greater lengths to hide. People also value their privacy and anonymity so they shouldn't have to tell people about their alt accounts if they don't want to regardless of their true intent.

What business is it of anyone how many accounts someone else has?people need to grow up and take responsibility for making sure they don't get scammed by using an escrow etc instead of forcing rules and regulations down on everyone. There are scammers everywhere not just here.I've been scammed once or twice myself due to my own stupidity.

Thank again.

Buying and selling of Bitcointalk accounts are allowed but discouraged in general.

It was prohibited earlier but it had zero effect as members were still able to buy/sell them on other forums or via private messages.

Why do you want to buy forum accounts as a backup for collateral loans? You can easily invest in some popular altcoins, stake them, and use them as collateral if you are in dire need of loans in future. This would be the best idea IMHO.

Good answer. Well, I don't want to expose my asset to fluctuations of market. An account, of used for legit purpose (as signature campaigns) hold and probably increase his value. Then is possible to earn extras from signature. Altcoin coud be a good opportunity but at the same time they could be risky because if their price goes down they could expose borrower to replace the original value, with obvious risk of generate a liquidity crisis for borrower.

As long as an account is being used and is posting, then its value will increase as it ranks up. However, if you just leave the account and don't use it, its value will depreciate. Over the past year, I have seen account prices go to half of what they used to be.

Not going to happen, OP.  And this forum doesn't even ban scams, much less what you're suggesting.  This is gladiator school for bitcoiners, where each member has to look out for himself or else he's going to get fleeced.  And you have to learn by mistakes, and sometimes those are costly.

And people have multiple accounts for different reasons.  I think it's a shady practice for most, but whatever.

I think you will take a risk with that idea. Someone could give you negative rep for some reasons and scammers would not reveal their accounts for sure. Not only scammers, most alts are created to stay anonymous for a single trade or something.

I think it will not be used.

I see what you want to do, looking more legit, but i think you would be the only one doing so and still the usefullness is pretty open. Plus risks of getting trust ratings that you would not like for it.

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.

Mostly because they're used for nefarious purposes. I do think more work should be done to identify and track alts, there is so much thread manipulation in some of the subforums that it turns them into a trash heap. One account bear'ing it up and 10 more accounts by the same dude backing them up immediately. And as history dictates, some people really do dedicate their time to alt-ing.

After seeing what you experience i can understand your view on the topic, though i think people like that are not the majority. Practically all accounts i help trading with are used for signature campaigns by their new users. It's simply an easy and big income for many third world country citizens.

+1 Forum members are obliged to obey forum rules. The rules say that you can have alts and there's no rule saying you can't post in the same topic with your main and your alt.
The more you abuse the trust system by giving negatives to people you don't agree with the more popular alts will be.

The rules say that you can have alts and there's no rule saying you can't post in the same topic with your main and your alt.

Of course that's against the rules - you're spamming/bumping/double posting your own opinion multiple times in order to deceive users that there is a consensus of opinion on a topic when there is in fact none.
