whats the story with minted coins? As an example Transaction will say 400+ neutrons but in reality its only 14.

There's a bug that shows the entire stake reward instead of the masternode reward, when you restart the client it shows the proper amount. For example see this block http://www.presstab.pw/phpexplorer/NTRN/block.php?height=933633 The masternode reward is 14.08 the stake reward 7.25 and the amount you see in the client as reward is 14.08+7.25+3,913.47 (the stake input of the address).

My masternode wallet has been syncing for the last 4 days. I attempted using the blockchain zip file listed in the first page of this post to no avail. Is there an official copy of the blockchain? Why are there no releases  referenced in github? What version of the tree is being released from google drive?

I am new to Neutron, and if I am to invest time and money into building a few Neutron nodes, I would like to be pointed in the right direction for my above questions.

I tried to join the slack, but it seems like you require users to have a @neutroncoin.com domain. Where are technical / other questions being fielded?

yeah, blk0001.dat will create the files in txleveldb, if you can't get connections afterwards, add these nodes into neutron.conf (same folder where you extracted the boostrap)
