Yep. It's all over. Vern should get ready to be interviewed by law enforcement. He didn't even report the coins stolen a year and a half ago.

Congratz to everyone that got coins out and to the jokers that stayed with Cryptsy and just got burned, all I can say is: "Darwinism in action..."

Don't feel sorry for them, they deserve it after

1. white knighting for Cryptsy while many others were trying to sound the alarm and warn people

2. attacking Poloniex, the exchange that disclosed a theft but earned back the money and repaid everyone

3. refusing to stop putting their trust into individuals like BigVern and Evan Daftfield.

Getting burned to a crisp is the only way those people will learn.

OMG. Here is an article from Coindesk on the divorce. Looks like there was an injunction served on Cryptsy and he fled to china to make a new life with all the coins.

Holy christing mother of fuck, that's a shitty thing to do.  Seriously, as a community we need to vet who runs these exchanges so as to avoid debacles like this.  Exchange owners should not be able to take the money and run.

The vetting was done by John Hammes aka BitJohn pretending to be in an Army office located in an Afghanistan war zone, but was really living in North Carolina out of the service for years with his wife Faith and daughter.
