I guess we will see everything fall and bitcoin rise Cheesy I dont think it will drop below 400 in the next 8 months.
At some point in your Bitcoin carreer you have to sell otherwise you are not going to maker any money. Most people wait for a couple years until they are going to sell, I like to sell some coins in the mean time.

Why sell everything, you never know what is going to happen to the price next so it might be possible for you to make even more money if you wait just a bit longer then usual.

Yeah that's true, still you need to consider if you really want to sell and think again twice if that would benefit you in selling btc.
But if the thing is if there is an emergency and you need to sell it then we need to consider that also.

It's very simple. If there is no reason to sell and you don't need the money in your personal life, then just keep holding. If as you also said in emergency situations that you will badly need the money, then cash out. Only if you made a more than decent profit of at least $70-$100 per coin, then you can choose to secure profits. Some people even sell for a profit of $10-$20 which I find to be a waste of time.

Well, it always depends on the buying price. Around one year ago the Bitcoin price was only the half of the current price. If someone bought some Bitcoins at this time, that he or she could make a nice profit now.

Selling will be not the best thing that you can do that is because the value is not even that high that you can earn a lot of profit with it and that is the problem.
As you can see now you see also that the value is going to be more worth in the future and that would be perfect.

Sadly, there are a lot of people here that are strongly tied to the fiat world. These people do not understand that Bitcoin is superior money. Selling it for fiat without an urgent need is stupidity.

Luckily, the great majority of these trader-type Bitcoin speculators will generate massive negative returns on their activity. Some might learn from it and maybe start thinking about the reason of why Bitcoin was created in the first place...

Sometimes, I miss Bitcoin's good old days...  Cry

Yeah I bought at $220 last year in the month of April, and I sold some part of it when it crossed $450 mark and made some profits from it.

That's the thing one would do before an economic crisis.

We are near an economic crisis at the time being. It is now more than 7 years after the 2008 crash. (And before 2008, it was 2001) USD/EUR is like a rollercoaster. Nobody wants to have the strongest currency at the moment so they are sharing turns. (strong currency means weak export, and the world ecomomy is depending on strong export)

One day Dollar is strong, the other day EUR, the other day Yen... Crash incoming.

I will not sell at this stage as it will not give me additional profits that I am looking for, I will prefer to hold it for next couple of years and will sell when price goes higher.

it was clear there would be no advantage to sell at this stage, but you'll be regret, when you saw the price goes above 500 when halving.

There are a lot of people that is selling not around this time and that is because they know already that the value will be more worth soon in the future and that is nice.
Of course we cant know that for sure but that is just a prediction and you need also to take some risks when you want to earn money with it.

It will be not that easy to earn some profit with it otherwise everyone will be rich.

So what's to regret if price goes above $500 at halving? I didn't get you what you are trying to say, majority of people are waiting to sell their coins when it reaches $500.

Well, this is not the right time to make the selling rather than an emergency. No need to hold for such a long time as there is no assurance about the increase or decrease in price after years.

Eth is a currency that continues to confound me. There are certainly more people buying that coin than selling it.
Yeah! That's apparent with its current price now, its value is abruptly increasing, however I would not trust its current value today because it was just driven by the hype effect of the coming release of DAO.

I'm not very well-versed in Eth. What is the release of DAO?

I am not quite familiar with the exact date, but I know the release is within this month. Actually, if you have to consider investing in alt coins we can see some potential today, we have the DAO, LISK, and the WAVES.

Agreed, there is no guaranteed that what will be the price at halving, so if you see some higher price then you can always sell to earn some profits from it.

The price rose 10 times after the 2012 halving. So it is better to sell until the price rises at least 5 times.

Sell only if you are making best profits out of it, and I really don't think that is the best time to sell our coins, price will get higher in coming months and that would be the best moment to sell.

Yeah instead of that He can just hold your bitcoins for now. It might contribute to decrease in market supply of bitcoins that will make the price of bitcoin go high. Just hold it now until halving. The bitcoin halving is only 4 months until now.

Selling everything is only a smart thing to do when you are going to quit with Bitcoin because the value can always go up again.
If you sell everything now and tomorrow the price goes up, you just missed out on more money.

That's with everything in life. If you think you've made some decent profits with stocks and thus start selling, and the price goes up even more the next day, then you missed out on more profits.

That's not a good way to look at things. If you want to prevent that from happening then you should sell 50% now and the other part when the price goes up even more. That way you won't miss out on profits.

BSV is not the real Bcash. Bcash is the real Bcash.
