Hi, I am looking for an Altcoin developer that can also develop a Minecraft plugin for the Altcoin. Please Skype me at austinrowe1028 if you are interested and please put Altcoin Developer in your message to me on Skype or I may not respond. Thank you.

You can actually find some devs on the service sections that offer making altcoins for a price, use the search option, I'm sure you will find a few, as for the minecraft plugin for altcoin, what are you planing exactly, payments inside the game with your altcoin?

Why don't you use a existing and dead coin and revive it? There are so many altcoins which already exist. You just need to fork the source code and find a community.

Might not be as easy as you put it. I mean, you *could* fork existing code and find a suitable community, but there are other intricacies of making an altcoin and a compatible miner. Also, you need to understand the different types of algorithms. Pick one suitable to your needs. Understand POW, POS etc. You would need to integrate with pools/create a new pool. Server management, load handling, etc etc. Lot of serious work really! Smiley

But you're probably right. There are enough altcoins out there as it is. Unless the idea behind the coin is really solid, I don't understand why anybody would bother using it. A community is definitely important!
