What happened to the pre mined 100001 BTCU? I don't see it anymore on TOP 100 list http://explorerbtcu.silverdice.us:3001/richlist

I don't see 80k in top 100 list after you took out 20k for Airdrop?

Here they are. 100000 premined

http://explorerbtcu.silverdice.us:3001/tx/8e76c6479832406dcfa6dee365075f027cffeec10a2bf5bd6e8539c062784040

Why he did it? I don't know but he mentioned splitting coins into smaller wallets for staking.

Few minutes earlier you've said that there are like 500 participants. 20000/500 = 40 which at the moment it's like 40k sat.

So that means, he split it in 2. Which are No 1 & 13 on Block Explorer/Richlist.

If you think you need more coins for development or marketing better cancel 2nd airdrop then stake premined coins.

What about keeping some of the coins hot for use/development and putting the bulk in to cold storage so they don't stake?

I voted yes. However I don't think my vote would matter, cause we have 77% NO and 22% YES.

I voted "not" because wither way by splitting up your premined coins in 5K shares will result in dev team getting the lion's share Undecided
And how will you prove us that you have separated them into 5k each since we cannot view each other's wallet?

Please for the sake of community's betterment do not stake those premined coins and increase the difficulty of the stake blocks.
Purpose of premined coins are for bounties and giveaways and also to prevent huge dumping. They are not for staking and growing.

I also voted no...  I think the community will be far more excited to hold and stake BTCU knowing we don't have to go up against a very large wallet competing for the dPOS...

As the far as the premine is concerned, I personally do not have any issue with it... a couple airdrops, faucet money, and bounties, say for a cold wallet generator, or even an android wallet I am all for...

A bounty could be reserved for a poker site, and other developments as well...

If there are to be roughly 900,000 BTCU then 100,000 is plenty...

The next question is what are the exchanges planning to do when staking commences. I have see various exchanges do two different things:  1) Simply NOT stake the exchange coins, or 2) Stake and distribute amongst people with coins on the exchange... ( minus a tiny percentage usually )

Yobit and Safecex, we could inquire of how they intend to handle it....

I do have an exception to this 'no staking premine' rule, though... and that simply is IF we actually don't have enough of the community staking....  then he will have to stake some to keep the blockchain running after POW is over... But I doubt that will be an issue...

Excellent! as for your staking comments, I pretty much agree with all you've stated. As for the network being weak on nodes when PoW ends, I can tell you mine will be live and staking  Smiley so there's a +1

At http://hashpower.co you can mine using
sha256, scrypt, neonscrypt, quark, qubit, x11, lyra2v2, argon2, x13 .... and have the payout be in BTCU...

Basically Hashpower.co is BTCU's first MULTIPOOL...

For your information...

From almost touched 1 PTH/S on first day to 57 TH/s today. That's way down turn in mining power. I guess people are loosing interest in coin; or it's because mining 25/20 coin a block is getting expensive.
