When I type in 21,000,000 BTC, it freezes the USD price when I try to to change to mBTC/Bit/Sat.

I don't think 21 Million BTC equals 21 Million Satoshis now...

PM me for my wallet address since this is a bug.

Not a bug buddy. Try it again and tell me if the btc box value changes when you put in 21 mil BTC and click on "sat". I put a cap at 21 mil btc also.

Found two bugs! Here are both the screenshots which I think should be enough to tell:

https://i.imgur.com/SAyqoC7.png

(The mouse over description of the tab is in BTC for all forms of units, mBTC, sat)

https://i.imgur.com/VkE4QBX.png

(The number entered can be more than 8 decimal places if you hold a number key long enough.)
Try making it such that it would strictly stop at 8 decimal places.

Also, make it such that characters other than number would not even be shown and allowed, hope this helps!

(I suggest adding a reference link for the bitcoin value over time, and add more options other than USD)

Just fixed the unit title bar error, someone else had already pointed it out. As for the decimal places, I can't seem to reproduce it after furiously holding down and typing as many numbers as possible. Not sure why you are able to, every time you type it checks if there are more than 8 and if there are then it rounds it back to 8. PM me your address?

This is a nice site. It works in both the way showing the price in btc for $ and $ for btc. Hope you have fixed most of the bugs in calculations.

Not bugs, but I would like to point out something.

1. Include the info where you're referencing the bitcoin price. How frequently you're taking the average price for btc price detection.
2. Add title to the graph in the bottom. It is headless now.
3. Try to put ads, that can pay you in overtime which will cover the hosting cost and may be you can have a little profit later.
4. Add widgets API for satoshiindex.com, so other webmasters may add your widget to their blog, websites.
5. Include bitcoin blueprint information relating to buying and selling bitcoins, shopping with bitcoins, wallet information and others.
6. You may also other major altcoins trading against $.
7. I would also suggest to add other currency pairs with bitcoin.
Good luck.

If you would like to honor me, my address in the signature.

Thanks for the tips, sent you some coin.

1. the url http://admin.satoshindex.com/

would be better if you hide that page to 404 or whatever.
it's bad to show it publicly.

edit :

i think every word behind .satoshindex.com will shown apache default page

like http://login.satoshindex.com/ , http://admin1.satoshindex.com/ or whatever it will shown apache default page which it's bad to shown publicly.
Noted, PM me your address.

Found a bug.

(Recorded a gif for it)

Basically, when you have a decimal number and you type an unsupported character (such as the letter "a" shown in the gif), your site (I think rounds? or deletes) the numbers after the decimal.

BTC Address: 1STAR8KiRzcqWx5tXmvxRhdLcXtYHjzzY

Edit: bitcointalk image proxy doesn't allow gifs I guess.
Direct link: https://i.imgur.com/APzvHY9.gifv

Edit 2: It rounds the number to the nearest whole number when a invalid character is typed.

Also,
Say I type in 1.293 BTC and accodentally type a letter instead of a number, it erases everything. Not helpful if you accidentally type a letter accidentally, can you make it so your number still stay there?
Yea working on it now.

Pmed a possible bug but it seems it's sort of been touched on already.

Let's say I type 27.99999 mBTC. If I type anything else it rounds up to 28. If I keep typing 9 the last digit keeps getting rounded up and up and up.

After checking your site i think there is no problem or bugs on your site but its just a simple design like preev.
And i think you need to add more features like other currency or altcoin usd price.. is just my suggestion..

Yea I set it so you can't go over a certain number of decimals on certain units because you can't have say .5 satoshi. It just checks if its greater than the allowed and if it is then it rounds to the correct number.

892,605,000 was the max $ amount as that would be 21 million Bitcoins. Then the price updated (I'm assuming) because when I typed 892,605,000.0001 it went over 21 million BTC.

I typed in the $ field 8,892,660,000.000001 and each time I hit 1 another 2 numbers is added at the end. It now says 8,892,660,000.00000190734863

Edit: If I wrote a long number 111,211,111.1131 and I try to delete th '2' it snaps to the end of the number if i'm left of the decimal. If I try to delete the 3 it doesn't snap to the last digit.

I thought the bug was different because he said that when you type a unsupported character it deletes everything.
Oh well.

Found another bug that I don't think has been posted yet.
When you go to the price part and press Ctrl + A (Highlight all), the BTC amount changes.
Same thing happens when you are typing the in BTC amount and hit Tab
https://i.imgur.com/6K2zN9T.gifv

Could be fluctuation, but it happens every time I do it.

I was already PM'd about the second part. It has to do with how accounting.js formats numbers and adds commas. Looking into the first part now.

Ok so you can't have .5 satoshi right? So I just added some code that checks for decimal places in the satoshi box and if there are any then it just rounds the number. When you type 1.9 satoshi it just rounds it up to 2 because you can't have 0.9 satoshi.
Looking into why it added so many numbers though.

EDIT:
It can't be done by just typing 9's after the satoshi digit, you must have just copy pasted a bunch.

Added something to prevent you from typing more than 8 decimals in the USD convert box. PM me your address.
