wala pang mod sa ngayon bro pero baka within 1week magkaroon na tayo, baka meron na satin pinapanuod mga nkakataas kung sino ang karapat dapat sa posisyon

I could help in organizing and cleaning this section as most know I'm Filipino/Iranian and could speak perfectly the language and understand how things should be in here in case someone hasn't been chosen yet to moderate Philippines section.

I can also help with the cleaning and monitorig the threads  as I am online from 7 AM in the morning util 12 Midnight. Kahit taga report na lang para clean yung subforum natin. Galingan natin mga pinoy!

Well everyone seems to jump at the idea of being a staff, but I believe (as Dabs said) it should be someone with high report stats and a high Total logged In time(who can understand Phillipines ofc). If the person is generally neutral in marketplace, thats a plus

Edit: Was going to add, should not be spamming themselves, but well everyone here seems to have a signature
Edit 2: Another good idea would be to allow an active person(who speaks Phi. along with several other languages, preferably an existing moderator) to take over the Philippines moderation and judging by the new reports , a new moderator specifically for this section be made.

regardless of who the mod will be, as long as he/she is Filipino and neutral, I suppose it doesn't matter, isn't it? and being a mod here is an honour and privilege.

Not many people can be active here 10 hours per day. Unless they are unemployed / students / don't have anything else better to do. Seriously.

Who wouldn't want to be staff / mod? (Disclosure, I even offered to be a treasurer before, but everyone else got the job.)

Don't see any need for more than one moderator considering the section has just been created.

AFAIK other mods too are on average here 2hrs a day, so that shouldn't be a problem. And this is a paid job, considering you are also promoted to Patroller(can moderate newbs in other sections) , if you moderate consistently you will get a good portion of the 25% of the ad funds.

There is a very small amount of payment, but you're going to be disappointed if you apply for just that reason. Also, local mods don't immediately become patrollers. That's a separate thing.

Ah, I was under the impression that "Staff"(title that shows up under your Display name, if you post outside the section you are moderting) automatically means you are a patroller as well, guess we learn new stuff everyday

I dont have job on real life and i can be online 12 hours a day.if you giving me a chance to moderate our board i will try my best to maintain our board clean.

@theymos, I can recommend another person, who was a moderator in another Philippine based forum. I believe he has an account here on bitcointalk also.

That other forum was a firearms related forum, so you can imagine the kind of moderating they have to do.

That other forum migrated to a facebook group last year, so I couldn't follow it anymore. I think I registered there in 2008, and ... (well let's just say I am in the military and it's a gun forum, so there.)

I wouldn't bother with an off topic section. It's not essential and will just get abused and spammed to death.
